Hello all, I caught an update this morning regarding a TSA worker who was let go after leaving an impolite note in a passenger’s suitcase upon finding some kind of intimate toy inside. I am considering a career move that involves traveling, and this tale made me curious if anyone here has had recent luck getting around while wearing their device. I recently met someone who commutes with his plastic contraption frequently. His strategy is straightforward: he states clearly what it is whenever questioned. He mentioned enduring some superfluous scrutiny and efforts to make him feel self-conscious, but he was never turned away from flying. I’m not quite as bold (ahem) in the groin area myself, yet it’s intriguing that he manages so well while secured. Has anyone else attempted this?

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the body scanners struggle a bit with oddly shaped items, like circular plates placed over the stomach. I've always wondered if this applies to a cb-6000 as well, and I really wish I had more confidence to test it out -- I do need to travel for work occasionally. Usually, getting through airports is fine with just a plastic tag lock on my device, but I remain somewhat nervous about the scanners. Conversely, when I departed from Manila recently, an attendant inspected every bag upon entry into the terminal. Essentially, your luggage was opened up where anyone in line could see it, along with a small team of inspectors who checked everything thoroughly. Fortunately, I had only cracked my previous device and was carrying just the rings (I bought a new tube back home) -- if they had found the entire assembly, I probably would have turned quite red!
This is another subject that interests me. We are planning a trip to Mexico during the Christmas break, and I'd like to wear either my existing CB device or purchase a Birdlocked unit specifically for air travel.

Honestly, I believe that if you fly wearing a device, you must be ready for the likely possibility of being discovered.:oops: It really is as simple as that. If you are okay explaining it, they will probably let you continue on your way without issue. Personally, I am not one to share my often chaste status with strangers! I don't fly as much these days, but I know that if the body scan picks up something unidentifiable, they perform a pat-down that extends right into and including your scrotum. I'd bet money that more aggressive TSA agents will palpate the cage while their hands move upward toward your "junk". If they do make contact, further investigation is mandatory. While I truly prefer staying locked when away from my wife, I would rather rely on the honor system than endure all that TSA drama...but that's just my preference. Other men in chastity (and their wives!) might feel differently. I also realize some spouses may insist on keeping you secured, so those couples will have to balance the advantages and disadvantages.
I used to fly constantly in my CB3K and CB6K without any problems. However, that was prior to the enhanced scanners becoming common. Fortunately, I don't need to travel as frequently now.
Within the United States, I wouldn't fly with anything unusual. Imagine myself acting as a TSA agent. The scan reveals something peculiar in the crotch region. I ask what it is. You explain what an MCD is. The agent thinks to himself, "Yeah Right," because he isn't going to be the one who lets the next underwear bomber pass through. At minimum, he will call in the FBI, who arrive with bomb-sniffing dogs. Your best-case scenario involves missing your flight and having to catch a later one. While we view this as harmless enough, anyone flying within the US with an MCD on is asking for trouble.

So a question for those who carry their device in their carry-on through security: I take it that you're carrying non-metal devices (such as the CB-x000)?

So, all of my experience is with the CB3K and CB6K. I don't see how the metal one would change anything as long as its in carry on. But, I hope to hear from others with actual experience.
I've always used one of the cb-X000 line, but I'm not sure how a metal device would change things too much -- the plastic outline should still show up. Then again, I've carried some fairly obvious "adult toys" in my luggage as well, so maybe I just have less of a humiliation threshold...

Flew out of Boston's Logan Airport last October wearing my CB6000's with plastic numbered lock. Was a little:shock: when I saw I was going to have to go thru a full body scanner. Last time I flew from that terminal it was the old scanner. Oh well. there's a first for everything and I was early for the flight so I could afford a little delay. I went right threw. Now maybe there were a few TSA Agents:) or:lol: but I wasn't stopped or questioned. Same thing happened on my flight back from Charlotte.
Not too long ago, I saw something about this on a blog. I'm not certain, but think it maybe have been the blog. Assuming that was the right blog, he was told that the TSA is aware of male chastity devices and will allow travel while wearing one. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean you won't be subject to a pat-down and extra questioning at the checkpoint. I don't travel very often, and when I do I go on the honor system. I've already decided if I'm ever forced to explain what it is (i.e., unexpected visit to the ER, etc.), that I'll just explain it away as a sex toy/game with my wife. I suspect that will be more than enough of an answer.;)

I travel a lot and it is just not worth it. I won't even wear a device when using private jets just incase there is a security difference at the different aviation handlers.
