A Couple of Questions Regarding My CB6000 Device

Hi everyone. I’ve decided to stop wearing the device while at work (as mentioned in my previous post). For nearly a week now, I’ve been doing two days on and one day off during working hours. This marks the longest period without ejaculation since I was twelve years old when I first started masturbating; I’m twenty-two now. Haha. It’s definitely challenging. I made a promise to my girlfriend not to masturbate at work, and so far I’ve stuck to it.
But here are some questions: When I put the device on, it seems to slide down slightly toward the front of my shaft rather than sitting right against my pelvis? My testicles are quite large and sit high up. The LARGEST ring is just barely big enough for them. That’s why it sits a bit forward. Is that normal? Sometimes I push it further forward because it pinches some hair. Does anyone else experience this?
What does everyone do when you wake up every night with an erection? It hurts. I usually try to relax. My balls get itchy occasionally too. But EVERY night since I started wearing it, I’ve woken up due to discomfort. Is that normal?
Sometimes I notice veins on my testicles coming to the surface of the skin; they’re quite visible. Sometimes they look a bit darker in color, kind of purple but not really? Could I be restricting circulation somewhat?
Another question is about urination: obviously you have to sit down. Occasionally, urine runs along the side of the case as it exits? How do you all clean this up? I’ve been holding the entire cage under a cup of water and pouring water from where the ball ring meets the penis cage, but because that junction is so tight, the water doesn’t always get inside and flow down the shaft. How do you guys handle cleaning after peeing?
Lastly, something else on my mind right now: I have a small red rash on the top side of my penis. It looks almost like an abrasion from rubbing? Do any of you deal with this? I suspect it might be because the cage moves slightly when I walk, or perhaps because the shaft shifts inside during erections. This cage is extremely TIGHT for me. So when I get an erection, it’s painful. I use a lot of lube and sometimes apply an ice pack to shrink my penis as much as possible so it fits.
I asked my girlfriend if she’d mind if I got a birdcage-style device because I read they are slightly larger. But she prefers the solid hard plastic design, so that option is out.
I think those cover all my questions. Thanks guys

Does that happen to anyone? It happens sometimes. This is a bit more of an issue with the CB series because there are more components joining together. I usually don’t have this problem on the Steelheart, except right after putting it on if I miss aligning one part. > member_3e0771454e wrote: > > What does everyone do when you wake up every night with an erection? Try drinking plenty of water before bed at night. I’m not exactly sure why, but it seems to help reduce nocturnal erections. Once the excitement wears off later in the morning, you should sleep better too. I know I struggle after making any changes to my device or configuration as well. Also, try adding just a drop of lube around the ring. > member_3e0771454e wrote: > > Sometimes I notice my balls have some veins coming to the surface of my skin and are very noticeable. Sometimes they look alittle darker in color, kinda purple but not really? Am I cutting off some circulation? Possibly; be careful. Try switching to a larger ring or spacer for a while, then slowly reduce the ring size step-by-step along with the spacer until you find the smallest comfortable fit that doesn’t cut off your blood flow. > member_3e0771454e wrote: > > Another question is, when you pee, obviously you have to sit down. Some times the pee runs on the side of the case as it runs out? How do you guys clean this? I have been sticking the hole cage in a cup of water and pouring water from where the ball ring and the penis cage come together, but thats so tight, the water doesnt make it inside and down the shaft. How do you guys clean after you pee? You don’t strictly need to sit to urinate. I didn’t with my CB3000, Jailbird, or my Steelheart (which is what I’m wearing now). Sometimes I do, but it’s not required. One thing that helped with the CB3000 was modifying the opening slightly to make alignment easier. I never had issues doing this. Check Tom Allen's blog for details on how he did his modification; that was my guide. For cleaning, I use a wash bottle similar to those used in chemistry labs: first soap and water, then just a rinse with plain water. Thumper has a video on his blog showing the process. > member_3e0771454e wrote: > > Last, that I can think of my right now, is that I have a small red rash on the top side of my penis. I haven’t had this issue myself, but I know others do. Others will likely chime in with their experiences. You should check for any rough spots inside the tube. It could also be irritation from hygiene issues. -A
I’ve encountered some of these same problems with the cb6000. Atone gave a thorough reply, but I can add to the point about the small red rash on the shaft and/or head of the penis. I experienced this frequently early on, which forced me to take off my chastity device occasionally. I seem to have relatively sensitive skin, and I also find the cb6000 a bit snug. To combat the skin rash, I’ve tried various lubricants: water-based (Liquid Silk), no lube at all, no lube but with baby powder, and silicone-based (Eros Bodyglide). Since switching to Eros Bodyglide, irritation has been very rare for me. I apply a few drops twice daily—once in the morning and once after an evening shower—and use a q-tip to spread it throughout the tube. This seems to have solved the problem for me. Others might prefer the other lube/powder options I mentioned, so you could try those. Another issue was preventing the head of my penis from constantly touching the end of the device. Before regularly applying silicone lubricant, I managed penile head irritation by using the largest possible spacing rod. This gave a bit more room at the tip so it wasn’t always pressed against the plastic. If you are still being crushed into the end even with the largest spacing rod, and silicone lube doesn't fully help, you might consider buying The Curve. Since you own the CB6000, you can get just the Curve cage portion for about $70 I believe. I did this, and combining The Curve with the second smallest spacing peg fit me better in many ways, though I found it was too bulky to fit comfortably into any of my pants, and its diameter was slightly too large for a chastity device for me. One final note on transitioning from CB6000 to Curve: using the largest spacing peg with the CB6000 gives you similar total length as using the smallest spacing peg with The Curve. So that transition is well-designed. However, you might find reasons not to wear a small peg if your scrotum cannot hang properly in the smaller gap between the cage and ring.
Penis rash/irritation- I was having this problem too, so I started using more lube (baby oil) inside the cage. Surprisingly, the problem got worse. Then I tried an antibiotic ointment, and it also worsened. Finally, I stopped using lube inside the cage entirely—the problem cleared up soon after. Now I put the cage on with a little soap, which is thoroughly rinsed off afterward. No issues there. I use oil only occasionally and very sparingly when the head gets stuck too far back.

If I did, it was hand lotion (Cetaphil) and only once or twice. I’ve found that for me, using the least amount of lube/powder/lotion possible is best. Occasionally, I go through periods where I need a little to resolve a small issue, usually around the base ring/balls area. I tend to continue using it too long out of fear it will return, but I’m always happy when I stop. -A

When I was wearing the 6K, I had a similar problem. I never did with the 3K or 2K. What helped me was applying a dab of Hydrocortisone cream on a Q-Tip and spreading it over the area while still wearing the cage (after washing). The rash would disappear in two to three days. Then, after about a week, it would return, and I’d use the cream again. I could never pinpoint the exact reason for this. It happened with both my 6K devices.
I can relate to having a rash problem. For a while, I tried wearing my 6Ks for several days in a row without removing it. By using swabs and the rinse bottle from Kept For Her, I was able to clean both my penis and the inside of the cage quite well. However, difficulties arose during the drying process. That might be your issue as well. Neither Q-tips nor a hair dryer worked effectively at getting me dry enough to avoid a rash. The problem was resolved by removing the device for a few minutes each evening while showering, followed by thorough toweling off. We are considering replacing the CB with a more open stainless steel design that will allow better airflow around my penis so I can use a hair dryer. CH would prefer that I remain unlocked less frequently than I currently do.
From your post, I gather you are a "shower" rather than a "grower." In other words, you are fairly large even when flaccid. The suggestion of the Curve is good. However, since you mention that the 2-inch ring is almost too tight, it makes me think you may eventually need to go with a custom-made metal device if you stay with this type. For me, it took a year in both the CB6000 and CB6000s before I moved on to a Mature Metal Jailbird. After that first year, I was fairly certain this was a long-term proposition rather than just a trial period. Lastly, lube is your friend. The issue with the CB6000 being a closed cage is that it really does need to come off relatively regularly for cleaning. But since you have a natural cycle of two days on and one day off, that shouldn’t be much of a problem.
After nearly a year experimenting with chastity, I just had my first experience with irritation/rash on the head of my penis (in my new Steelheart). I tried some hydrocortisone cream last night after unlocking, and it seems better, though still slightly red. Hopefully this won’t become a chronic problem in my shiny new tube—that would really be unfortunate. I posted about it in my Steelworxx Steelheart Questions thread. I can say that I never had any irritation or rash issues with my cb-6000s. Once the sizing was correct, my cock tolerated it well.

Since it happened so soon after switching to the new device, I think it’s likely just an adjustment issue. You should check the inside of the tube again. Not sure what you could do if it is slightly rough—maybe a little polishing compound might help. -A

But since you have a natural 2 days on 1 day off cycle that shouldn't be a problem. Cleaning isn’t much of an issue if you use a handheld shower massager, like a Water-Pik or one of the cheaper alternatives. During your daily shower, squeeze some liquid soap over the top near the base ring, then wash your face and hair as usual. By the time you finish that routine, the soapy water will have run down inside. A finger poked under the base ring lets you swirl and rub everything around—assuming of course your finger fits; if not, you can use one of those small sticks with a foam sponge on the end (I’ve seen them *somewhere* but don’t quite remember where). After tugging on any loose bits and rubbing ‘round the base ring to ensure cleanliness, turn the massager to high-pressure pulse or stream mode and direct it in through all the various openings for a thorough rinse. You *do*, of course, need to stay soft during this process; becoming aroused can make completion difficult. Note: Depending on the pressure when directing the stream into the end of the device, you might force water backward up the urethra and into your bladder, which feels quite peculiar. This isn’t inherently dangerous in itself, but for those concerned about saving energy who have turned down their hot water tank temperature, it’s worth noting that temperatures below 136°F may allow bacteria to grow in the tank. I’m not a doctor nor do I play one on TV, but I wouldn’t want to introduce unusual bacteria into *my* urinary tract. Either ensure your hot water tank is at least 136°F (which is recommended for health reasons despite energy conservation extremists urging lower temperatures) OR use a finger to press against the urethra just behind the base ring to prevent excessive water travel. If pressure is high enough, your PCG muscle alone might not suffice. Then have a good pee afterward to flush out any remaining water. Fun note: A thin, high-pressure stream of water directed on the head of the penis *just right* will induce the sensation of needing to urinate. After a short time, if maintained, the urge grows until it becomes impossible to hold back urine. If the stream continues *after* the bladder is empty, the sensation becomes [almost] maddening. One should be aware that if continued long enough (only a few minutes or less in some cases) after the bladder empties, this may *also* result in loss of bowel control and defecation might occur. Keyholders who enjoy inflicting a bit of torture will no doubt find amusement in this. It might be wise for the subject not to stand, as he could also become weak-kneed or even unable to remain upright.
