It seems we have a new book on the chastity lifestyle, written by someone who styles herself as Mistress Sara. Her marketing approach looks like it’s copying Sarah Jameson. You can buy her paperback titled “Beautiful Enslavement” directly from her website for roughly $25 US.
The author is based in Brunswick, GA, USA, and she sends out free emails to readers every few days. There aren’t many quality books about male chastity available, so I’m always keen when a new one arrives. I haven’t bought the book yet myself; if anyone has, please share your review after you’ve read it.
I think that checking out some of her earlier writing gives a good sense of the book: Mistress Sara (sometimes spelled "Sarah") actually comes before Sarah Jameson, and there have been accusations that SJ copied MS and rebranded herself. However, she usually goes by Sara L. Collins. I've come across Mistress Sara's articles online for several years now, and if I recall correctly, she is a professional "chastity mistress" (whatever that exactly implies). She does accept payment for long-distance keyholding and web teasing, at least in the past. So take it as you will.
Given that she advocates for wives cheating on their husbands, I won't be buying her book. Here is what it says from her website: > Find out if you can cultivate a cuckolding fetish. The statement falls into the "silly cow" category. Good grief, I missed that one earlier. Unfortunately, she isn't really writing to women; she's addressing men who seem to enjoy this line of thought. A few years back, there was a chastity blog where the writer actually *confessed* to trying to be a poor lover so as to encourage his wife to find another man. Really? Who thinks like that?

Why is chastity the only 'kink' that has such an aggressive marketing campaign? Sure, there are books covering every conceivable sexual practice, but I don't see them being hyped by individually directed marketing machines. I visited an adult products website to gather some category ideas and then did some web searches on them. Bondage, rubber, electro, f*cking machines, and female domination all had a significant online presence. However, except for a few sites promoting female supremacy, none had advocates selling books and devices quite like male chastity does. Chastity especially has many people claiming "This will make you so happy with your sex life." Why do you suppose that is? Curiously, Eido
I haven't really thought about it much before, but now that I have for a couple of seconds here is what comes to mind. Chastity is a fairly unique kink because it is so customized to the individual practicing it. Even "mass produced" products are designed to be adjusted and come with various rings, spacers, etc... I can't think of another kink that has such a cottage industry working toward *individually specified* devices. There are craftsmen (artists?) around the world filling this need. A few names that spring to mind are Mature Metal, Lori's Tubes, Steelworxx (Germany), Steelwerks Extreme (Canada), Latowski, and Gereck, plus probably as many others I can't recall right now. You can get custom-made whips and crops, but very few items aren't available off the shelf. The same applies to most bondage gear, though I suspect that area is starting to see more customization. For some people, chastity is a form of bondage play. However, I don't think I've ever seen anyone making a custom-fit vibrator. This might not fully answer your question, but I'd love to see more discussion on it.
At least one reason chastity has spawned its own peculiar type of marketing mavens is that the kink requires a certain sort of relationship. Other kinks are based on individual acts -- flogging, bondage, pegging, etc. -- or scenes where those acts are performed in ensemble. In either case, there is a beginning and end to the act or scene. Chastity demands that one person lead another into a kinky sexual relationship more enduring than a single act or a brief scene. That process of transformation requires support, and wherever there is need, people step up to fill it. In my own case, I gave Scarlett BCWYWF to read so she could understand the benefits of the kink. She declined to read it, but I did learn from it. Now I'm locked up, horny, and we are both enjoying new intimacy. I see this latest book as another individual attempting to fill the need for newcomers. Personally, I am glad I found Sarah rather than this other person.

The statement is such a clear indication of the intended audience - namely gentlemen wishing to be addressed by epithets like "you pathetic little worm" etc., who get off on the humiliation caused by their wife cheating. Giving his wife this book really is topping from the bottom, albeit in a more subtle way than usual.
