I’ve worn it for roughly 12 hours now, and the experience has been better in almost every respect. The build quality is excellent; you can tell it was made with care no matter what function it serves. There’s a tiny rough patch that isn’t bothering me yet, but I could easily smooth it out with some wet 600-grit sandpaper.
Not having a thick ring is wonderful. It allows for more comfortable sitting and lets my testicles hang in a natural position—it just works better overall. The quarter-inch offset suits me perfectly, though I’m glad I had the CB to help determine that. Using their sizing rings was definitely the correct approach. By the way, when you look at those sizing rings, notice how the oval section has its long axis running side-to-side rather than top-to-bottom. It didn’t occur to me before, but it probably doesn’t make much difference.
The length is spot on too. There’s barely any wiggle room when I’m relaxed. Cleaning becomes so much simpler and far less of a hassle. My only real uncertainty revolves around how much lube to use and exactly where. With confined devices like the CB, lubrication is crucial. Since this metal device is smaller and more open, maybe it doesn’t need as much? Perhaps just at the very bottom works best. One feature I really appreciate is that because it barely flexes and all surfaces are rounded, there’s no pinching.
Regarding daily experience, Keyhldr loves having access to touch me—it’s pure delight. It’s actually a pleasant surprise to have things making contact again; I’d grown accustomed to minimal touching except for the constant pressure of plastic. That aspect feels different now. The loss of control isn’t total because I still retain some ability to reach in and touch myself if I want. An attempted erection is… well, quite mind-blowing actually. It’s much more comfortable too; my head doesn’t get stuck halfway through anymore, and it can expand slightly past the bars while remaining securely confined.
Honestly, I wish I had just switched to this when we upgraded from the 3000 to the 6000.
Welcome aboard! It’s good to hear things are going well for you so far. Regarding lubrication, Ab isn’t fond of it. He finds it irritating and has been using baby powder instead with success. However, given his pinching issues over the last couple of weeks, I’m wondering if I should suggest lube again? It’s clear that MM Bill takes great pride in crafting his devices. It’s nice to know you’re now a proud owner. D
I want ours too!

However, with his pinching complaints over the past 2 weeks, I wonder if I should bring up the lube suggestion again? Yes, but he’s developing chafes while I haven’t. Baby oil has always worked well for me and doesn't dry out yet to try silicone.
We ordered the silicone version. We have it now, just not our JB device though.:(

Could someone share the URL for that silicone lube again? I believe it was an Amazon link. I’d like to give it a try.

I really like this product. ... 031&sr=1-1

It’s rare for me to use any at all, and I’ve had few issues. Occasionally I’ll add just one drop of silicone around the ring if I feel some discomfort, but generally, the extra movement caused by lubrication feels worse than the restriction when dry. -A
Shea butter is another good option. You can find it at most organic stores (Whole Foods is where I go). It doesn’t dry out and helps significantly with just a small amount applied to the ring as well as on the scrotum. I often get "prison stripes" because my balls press against the cage bars, but a little shea butter fixes that—it’s odorless, non-greasy, and lasts all day.
Here is an update after one week: Even though I had plenty of practice with the CB 3000 and 6000 models, we basically took this out of the box, cleaned it, and put it on. It hasn’t come off since. On several levels, it feels much more comfortable than previous CB devices—not using plastic for the 'A' ring means a smaller profile that gets in less way. The smooth interior prevents chafing as my head expands and contracts. I also only need to lubricate two spots: the bottom of the 'A' ring and the base of the cage ring. Good airflow is very welcome. I was worried about length, so I opted for it to be 3/8 inch shorter than the standard CB model, which works well. Keyhldr thinks an even smaller size might work, but I’m not sure how that would happen. It also gets much hotter. Keyhldr can reach things more easily and provide more delightful teasing moments. This seems to cause more trapped erections, adding to the tease factor. While I haven’t used his other devices extensively, I’d definitely recommend this one to anyone. It feels suitable even for beginners, though the CB line does allow easier experimentation with sizes. I noticed Thumper received a unit with an easily correctable flaw—he should just send it back for repair. Mine arrived without any defects and features really nice craftsmanship.
I’ve been emailing with MM and will be sending my unit back.
Once it gets fixed, you’ll likely be much happier. I feel like we’ve been pushing him pretty hard lately.
