Submission
It's less about needing to be ruled and more about thriving when my submissive nature is cared for.

Right now, it feels like "Your command becomes my desire." I was out at the movies today when Chatelaine texted to say she was weary and didn't feel like preparing dinner. It felt a bit self-indulgent of me to stay put, but if she had simply messaged 'Come home and cook for me,' I would have obeyed immediately.

While I concur with Sarah that MC doesn't automatically mean submission in practice, I also think most men who take on an MC arrangement are looking to show their submissive side.
It depends on how you define the term. If by "submissive" you mean being passive or compliant, then yes. However, I lean more towards keeping my own impulses in check and maintaining greater discipline.
I've realized that I'd rather be submissive to my wife. Staying chaste has boosted my urge to submit. When it's been a few days or more since I last came, I find myself naturally wanting to please her.
