Fitting of Metal Chastity Device Bases

I’m considering purchasing a metal chastity device but have some questions I hope someone can answer.

To start, let me explain what caused my issue. Back when I was younger, I played Lacrosse and got hit in the groin by a stick. After a few weeks of discomfort, it felt normal again. However, since then, that side has remained larger than the other one.

When I used the CB2000, I went with the 1 7/8” solid ring. It was quite tight to pass through; if my last orgasm had been a while back, I would have needed the 2” ring instead. The main issue was that the device tended to droop downward constantly. Switching to the CB3000 and 6000 with hinged rings allowed me to wear the 1¾” ring more comfortably. This kept things snugger and stopped the drooping.

My worry about choosing metal is whether I can get my testicles through the base ring for a secure fit. With solid rings, I usually slide the larger one in first, followed by the smaller, without any trouble getting my penis through as well. But if I try to push the small testicle through first, I find it impossible to get the other one through too.

I also know that oval-shaped options are available. Does anyone have experience with them? If you’ve tried both ovals and round rings, do the testicles slide through more easily in the oval version? Or is the shape just for wearing comfort?

MM also offers a multipart ring similar to the CB6000 design if you request it. Gerecke in Germany (note: quite pricey compared to MM) provides an option for a hinged base ring.

My right nut is bigger than the left. Not drastically so, but noticeably. It also sits slightly higher up. This hasn't caused me issues when putting on my rings. I always guide the right (larger) one through first, then the left, and finally the penis. For most men, this seems to be the simplest method. Obviously, you need to be fully flaccid for it to work smoothly, so just take your time. If you follow this approach, differences in testicle size shouldn't matter.

The CB6000 places all its connections on the upper section (no pivot), which means the part encircling the scrotum remains smooth. I believe this holds true for the MM multipart ring as well. I've noticed that my inexpensive Sentinel copy, featuring a very heavy-duty hinged ring, tends to cause soreness at the base of the scrotum. The Desire model we aim to order eventually has a fairly subtle hinge (is that the right word?) which is also wrapped in heat shrink tubing.
