I’ve been considering getting a custom steel CD down the road. My main gripe with my current one is that I can’t pee standing up. Sitting all the time gets annoying, especially when wearing dress clothes or working outdoors where toilets aren’t always nearby. So, being able to urinate while standing would be great for me if I decide to upgrade to a better CD. I know some models support this feature. I’m particularly drawn to CDs that have an opening at the end of the tube. It would be helpful to hear from anyone who owns a custom CD and can stand up to pee. Thanks

I've managed to stand while peeing with all the devices I've owned: a CB-3000, several Jailbirds, and multiple Steelhearts. Each has its pros and cons. The Steelheart is actually the simplest to use; you just need to take your time. Instead of a stream, the urine drains out. The main drawback comes up when peeing outside—it doesn't handle wind well, and getting the position right can be tricky. Even in public restrooms on the go, I still prefer stalls but try to stand. The Jailbird was also quite good. You just need to ensure everything aligns properly, which isn't difficult. Once aligned, it feels like peeing normally without any device. However, if you're not lined up correctly, there's a chance of getting messy.

I can definitely stand to pee in the Steelheart, though if there's a stall available I'll take it. It gives me time to make sure the tube is completely empty before I try standing up. When I do go standing, my trick is to head right away when the urge hits; that makes controlling the stream much easier. Also, pulling the tube down as far along the shaft as possible seems to be the best approach.

Check out my thread here on Custom Mistress. With the modified front piece I have, standing to pee works perfectly every single time without needing any adjustments. In contrast, while I could stand and pee using a Cb6000S, it required more work—I had to either press the device firmly against me or shift the helmet around.

> "Whilst I'll take sitting in a stall any time there is one available so I can spend the time making sure that the tube is totally empty before standing up, I can pee standing quite successfully" That's exactly how it feels for me too. Whenever I'm out and about, my go-to is finding a stall. The issue isn't just getting out; with jeans specifically, you often have to unbuckle your belt and unbutton the fly because simply pulling the 'package' through the zipper doesn't always work. And honestly, I'd prefer not having people watch me do that.

I can't get the 'package' out thru the zip of my jeans, I have to unbuckle my belt and undo the button...and I'd rather not have anyone seeing that going on. That's spot on. In fact, it hit me after I posted earlier: getting things out is only half the battle; putting them back in can be even trickier.

Getting the 'package' out is only half the challenge, getting it back in can be even more difficult. Absolutely.
