JB Devices: Preventing Pins from Popping Out

Has anyone managed to get good results with these? I ordered the s/m/l criss-cross set along with my JB, and found that I could slip out while wearing either the small or medium right after putting them on. However, if I left them in for a bit longer, they became effective as soreness built up near the pin sites—though that was also quite painful, forcing me to take one out. The large size just proved too much pain for me.

I’ve now messaged Bill to order three of his blunt versions to see if I can make those work instead.

Also wondered if anyone else has had success with the pins or developed a DIY anti-pullout system? Since there’s only one hole in my device, I considered rigging up a T-shaped bar that inserts from the inside. The base of the ‘T’ would rise through the pin hole (perhaps tapered so it doesn’t pass all the way through, just enough to hold position). Not sure how effective this approach would be yet.

I’ve used them quite a bit. I’d definitely classify the criss-cross pins as more of a 'punishment' pin rather than one for long-term wear. The pointed pins are fairly similar, though I can manage sleeping with the short pointed version in place overnight. The short blunted pin works well too; I can go several days wearing it continuously, but by about day three, it starts becoming somewhat irritating. Another factor to consider is how tight your cage fits. When I wore a 1 3/8" diameter cage, all the pins felt more comfortable and were also more necessary for preventing pull-outs. Now that I’m using a smaller 1 1/8" cage, the shorter pins are really my only option for extended wear. I’ll admit though, pulling out isn’t much of an issue for me personally. I’ve never tried it and probably won’t unless I just feel like experimenting one day. With a snug cage, pull-out becomes difficult and might even be impossible to reverse once the pin is in. The inverted T-Bar concept appeals to me; I’d considered doing something similar myself. It would be trickier to install and adds another pinch point, but it should work well. Update on the T-Bar idea... You can flip the pull-out pin around and insert it from the inside. Pull it up, slide the penis through, then push it back down so that the flat head of the pin rests against the penis. The protruding locking pin at the base ring will prevent the main pin from sliding further up and out. I haven’t tried this specific method yet, but the concept is similar to the T-Bar design. This idea actually came out of a lengthy email exchange between Bill and me regarding both the T-Bar and general anti-pullout strategies.

That’s a solid idea for testing things out. Bill actually made me a couple of special-purpose pins that are shallow enough to fill the hole without protruding when I don’t want a pin in use. I had these custom-made because sometimes my skin gets irritated if it gets pushed too hard up against an empty, deep hole. These should work perfectly as a trial run. The upside of this approach is that they can likely be inserted and removed without needing to unlock the device. The downside? Well, ironically, the same applies—they might also slide out just as easily without unlocking if not secured properly! -A

Did you ever get Bill to make a modified pin for you? When I ordered my large-headed version, he mentioned that someone else had already commissioned something similar. That design features a head about 3/4" in circumference and is inserted upside down compared to a standard pin.
