After sending a message to my personal blog titled “Guys: what do you when others find out?”, this idea struck me. That entry mostly focused on my brother-in-law (who knows but seems too shy to mention it, at least with me), my neighbors (as far as I know, they are in the dark), and TSA (which I think would view this negatively since al-Qaida might launch an exploding chastity belt as their next terror move, and TSA agents aren’t hired for deep thought). But a more urgent question involves the doctor. Since epilepsy has been my shameful secret revealed (not that it’s about chastity, but epilepsy), I need to visit the Veterans’ Administration physician regularly. Now that I’ve shifted from playing with chastity to living in real-time chastity, I haven’t yet seen a VA doctor but will likely have to soon. So how do keyholders or their partners handle having a chaste spouse who needs medical care? I’m curious and nosy by nature, so I set up a poll on this topic. James, residing on the South Beach of Nebraska’s Sandhills, has been without his big O for thirty-one days. Meanwhile, my wife can’t even count hers anymore.

I skipped voting because none of the options truly fit me. I've visited my physician numerous times wearing my Steelheart (and previously the Jailbird), yet never once felt compelled to explain it since no one ever asked. Last year, however, an incident sent me to the ER. My wife held the key and we unlocked before leaving home. During that entire ordeal, a CD would have gone unnoticed, but I wouldn't have wanted mine on for two reasons. First, they took many X-rays—mostly my head and neck, plus part of my spine. They didn't go very low, still, I'd prefer it off during those scans. Second was when I needed to urinate while lying in the hospital bed. Unable to get up, I essentially peed into a bottle (it was an anatomical 'medical' gadget that probably cost my insurer over $100, though a simple juice bottle would have sufficed). It would have been nearly impossible with the Steelheart on. For routine physicals, I'll have it removed beforehand. Getting a clean urine sample isn't possible while wearing it. Plus, it draws attention, and there's no need to explain its presence to my doctor or her staff. In our small town, I run into my doc at the grocery store often enough already. It’s bad enough she has had her finger up my butt.

I’m certain I’ve noted elsewhere that although I endure routine checkups and blood tests with a device on, our standard arrangement is to take it off.

You simply apply common sense and accept that real life interferes sometimes. If I’m seeing the doctor for a male issue down below, you take it off, right? But if I’m there for an ear infection... it’s like taking your car to the shop with a known fault but telling the mechanic, sorry dude, you can’t lift the hood (bonnet in UK English). Though if you’re just getting new tires... I didn't vote because there wasn’t a 'be sensible' choice available:geek:

I also skipped voting due to lack of sufficient options. I’ve visited the doc for physicals and other reasons without issue; she doesn’t inspect my junk... nor has she had her finger up my butt, which actually worries me more because she isn't completely unattractive, and I fear having an 'inappropriate' reaction in that situation.

lol!

Well, I’m still somewhat new to this, so the question sort of popped into my head. (And yes, the hood/bonnet of my car is open because its battery is charging—it’s dead—the heat apparently did it.) Looks like there's unanimous agreement so far though. - James, chaste in Nebraska's Old West

Not so much for my own comfort but rather to avoid dragging others into my kink without their consent. There's a chance they wouldn't notice, but I wouldn’t want to risk it.

My worry is that she presses my prostate and I end up being milked right there on the spot (locked or not). I think that could be more embarrassing than just being exposed while locked.

Actually, there have been a few times I arrived at the doctor's after work forgetting I was wearing my 3k, and had a moment of panic thinking it was time for the prostate check. Now I make sure to schedule morning appointments so I remember to unlock the device for the day.

This is starting to look like an obvious question. I guess I need more than two brain cells rubbing together. I just have to remember to get BethK to remove the belt before any appointment.

The poll remains a lopsided vote. I guess I should have anticipated this. I still face one issue though. My epilepsy doesn't rule out wearing a chastity belt. However, occasionally (over these past few years), a seizure prompts someone who doesn't know better to call an ambulance (leaving me with the bill for both the ride and the ER). If my wife weren’t there to send them away or unlock the belt, I suspect I’d also have a new belt on the invoice.

Mrs. Twisted used to take medication to prevent seizures, though I've forgotten which one; she's been off it for a while now. She [generally] stays seizure-free by getting enough rest, reducing or avoiding stress, and recognizing when the frequency of certain types of lighting is about to trigger an episode.

I have a Veterans Administration nurse-practitioner based in Sidney, Nebraska (the nearest VA hospital is in Cheyenne, Wyoming—about three times farther). I’m unsure what she would do. She’s single, and so is her female medical clerk who works in the office. I suspect gossip about this rural area would spread quickly around Sidney and reach my home at light speed. - James, experiencing a cooling trend with only 97 F / 38 C today. Near body temperature, yet why does it feel so hot?:D (nearest official station to our village) Gee, honey, has it really been thirty-three days since you had an O? I wasn't counting. Is it important?

Ok, I voted that I remove my device for yearly physicals. I have had other visits—such as seeing my cardiologist, pulmonary specialist, and dentist—with my CD on. On a humorous note: My annual checkup is handled by our family physician, who is female and quite attractive. The first time I needed the prostate exam, she offered me the option of having a male colleague from the same office come in to perform it. I asked her to hold up her hand, which she did. I told her I’d go with the skinny fingers. After a quick laugh:lol:, she gloved up, applied plenty of lube, and asked me to bend over. Just as she entered:o my cell phone rang; my office was calling. She was startled by the ringtone asking "What's that?" to which I replied "It's my entry alarm.":D:lol:
