Miss Beth and I perform filk songs together. After something she mentioned last night, this idea just popped into my head. (There isn’t much else to occupy oneself with out here on the High Plains.) Surprisingly, I can’t find any filk songs about chastity anywhere on the Web. So I get to claim that title. With apologies to Mozart, who composed the opening musical phrases for the Second Movement of the Sinfonia Concertante for Violin, Viola, and Orchestra. And also to Michael Legrand, the original French composer, along with English lyricists Alan and Marilyn Bergman; they adapted a filk version of the song originally in French as “Les moulins de mon cœur,” or in English as “The Windmills of Your Mind” (which won Best Song at the 1968 Academy Awards—I only adapt from winners) for use as the theme to the 1968 film The Thomas Crown Affair. I wonder if Mr. Crowne’s affair would have turned out differently while wearing a chastity belt … (I know that isn’t quite the kind of “affair” the title implies, but I couldn’t help it). My lyrics come first in italics, followed by the English-language lyrics used in the movie. If you like, I’ll bother you with more. Cast your vote to let me know what you think. The Chastity of Your Mind, Sung to the tune of “The Windmills of Your Mind” by Anymouse on July 24, 2012 Kopyleft, all rights reversed. Please credit me. Limp, like a cock without a crow Like a teen without a meal, Never cumming nor erecting It’s a never-ending deal Your scrotum is inflating It’s a huge hot-air ballon Your keyholder’s still teasing Got you running round the room Like a child whose eyes are weeping As you bury your poor face And your cock is in a prison And the keys are lost in space Like the orgasms you find In the chastity of your mind. It’s a lifestyle that you follow To a lifestyle of its own Your manhood’s in a cavern Where the sun has never shone Like a door that never opens In a never-ending dream Or the wrinkles in your undies When they’re caught up in between Like a child whose eyes are weeping As you bury your poor face And your cock is in a prison And the keys are lost in space Like the orgasms you find In the chastity of your mind. Keys that jingle in her pocket As you give her lots of head Be careful what you wish for You may regret that which you said Lovers tangled in the bed Only one will beat the band Was the sound of distant moaning Caused by fingers of your hand Long ago and far away With a fragment of your dong Half remembered screams and cummings But to whom did they belong When you knew she locked you over Were you terrified and scared That she’d never give you leave To cum in there again Like a child whose eyes are weeping As you bury your poor face And your cock is in a prison And the keys are lost in space Like the orgasms you find In the chastity of your mind. --- --- original lyrics below in case you need a reminder --- ---- Round, like a circle in a spiral Like a wheel within a wheel. Never ending or beginning, On an ever spinning wheel Like a snowball down a mountain Or a carnaval balloon Like a carrousel that’s turning Running rings around the moon Like a clock whose hands are sweeping Past the minutes on it’s face And the world is like an apple Whirling silently in space Like the circles that you find In the windmills of your mind Like a tunnel that you follow To a tunnel of it’s own Down a hollow to a cavern Where the sun has never shone Like a door that keeps revolving In a half forgotten dream Or the ripples from a pebble Someone tosses in a stream. Like a clock whose hands are sweeping Past the minutes on it’s face And the world is like an apple Whirling silently in space Like the circles that you find In the windmills of your mind Keys that jingle in your pocket Words that jangle your head Why did summer go so quickly Was it something that I said Lovers walking along the shore, Leave their footprints in the sand Was the sound of distant drumming Just the fingers of your hand Pictures hanging in a hallway And a fragment of this song Half remembered names and faces But to whom do they belong When you knew that it was over Were you suddenly aware That the autumn leaves were turning To the color of her hair Like a circle in a spiral Like a wheel within a wheel Never ending or beginning, On an ever spinning wheel As the images unwind Like the circle that you find In the windmills of your mind.

Ooh, the voting doesn't look so promising for a sequel right now. It seems more likely I’ll be driven out with pitchforks and torches . . . Image And I have an even tougher song ready for that sequel too . . . James.

Well, I do it in the car when I'm drivin' down the street, One hand on the wheel and the other on my meat, Can't get out the car 'cuz I'm stickin' to the seat Hey, Masturbator! (To the tune of Hey, Macarena!)

One of my wife's favorite movies (I suspect because of Mr. Brosnan) and songs. Nice work on the lyrics. Bravo, Encore!

One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite movies (I own both versions on dvd). Good job.
