Hello all, I’m relatively fresh to the world of chastity. In terms of experience, not much yet, but I’ve been exploring it for roughly three years. Right now, I own two different devices: my first one is what they call a ‘bird cage’ (or something similar)—it’s curved and made of metal—and I recently picked up a CB6K.
The main reason I’m posting here is that I need some guidance. I’m struggling to find something that fits properly and stays secure. The metal device I have uses a 2-inch ring with a cage length of 3.5 inches, while on my CB6K, I’m using the same 2-inch ring; naturally, the length matches up too, but the positioning is different.
My problem is this: when erect, I measure about 6 inches long and 1.5 inches thick, but when soft, they drop to between 2 3/8 and 2.5 inches depending on the day. Because of this fluctuation, neither of my current cages quite works perfectly. They fit okay while I’m fairly hard, but after wearing either one for a few hours, my penis shifts inside the device. If I get erect again later, it’s often in a different position than before. To correct it, I have to take everything off and start over.
I was considering trying out the CB6K S model because its length seems appropriate, but my wife has developed a particular fondness for the Bird Locked series due to their simple design. Could anyone suggest where I should look given my measurements?
Thanks, Steve
Hi cheddar and welcome to the Forum. If you’re thinking about getting a CB6KS have you looked into custom metal devices? I’m not talking about off-the-shelf metal options with fixed dimensions like standard CBxxxx models. I’d recommend checking out companies like MM, Steelworxx, Lori, etc. They offer tools for self-measurement so you can get a device tailored to your specific needs. Most people here who started with a CBxxxx will tell you that the best move they made was switching to a custom metal piece. You should expect to pay around $300-400 US, which is roughly double what you’d spend on a CB6KS. However, I think it’ll feel worth every penny the first time you put one on properly. Also, with a custom fit, you never have to worry about the base ring or cage splitting.
I agree with Locked by LRC. I completely understand your point about your wife preferring metal over plastic; my own partner feels the exact same way. We definitely aren’t going back to any plastic options. My MM Jailbird is perfect for me. If you decide to go down the custom metal route, just ensure that both the cage length and diameter are precise. The gap size and base ring dimensions can usually be adjusted by the manufacturer in most cases. One thing to note about the Jailbird: because of its specific cage design, it allows you to make adjustments to your confined penis through the bars as your measurements change (growing or shrinking).
Try wrapping a piece of string around the base of your cock and balls. Once you’re comfortable with how it sits, cut the string and measure its length. This should give you a good idea of what ring size will keep you most secure. MY wife picked up a metal cage from Ebay for £20.00. It fits me just fine, and I’ve been locked 24/7 with no release until my wife decides she wants to play.
i haven't been doing this long but i started out with a cb6ks and have had it on for a while. will be looking soon to upgrade to a metal one
