A more secure padlock option for the CB6000

Hi there,

I’m using a CB6000 which is working great now that I’ve sorted out the rings and spacers. The issue though is that it’s quite easy to pick its lock, which takes away from some of the mental challenge:-(

Does anyone know a higher-security padlock in the right size for this device?

I’ve had good luck with Master Lock.

I’m currently using the standard lock that came with the CB6000. I’ve also tested three other 20mm options, including a Masterlock. They all appear to be 3-pin tumbler locks and are very easy to open with basic tools.

The simple fix... just stop trying. Honestly. Enforced chastity is more of a mental game than a physical one. No device can guarantee 100% security in reality. So the best way to keep your CB-6000 secure is simply not to attempt picking it. Since you’re new, I’m unsure if you have a Key Holder (KH) or are self-keying... If you do have an KH, I’d recommend using numbered plastic locks with a decent punishment for early release attempts. If you’re doing this solo and really can’t resist checking the lock, try applying red Loctite to ensure it stays shut.

However, there is a psychological element to having a physical lock and key that matters for the Key Holder's enjoyment too. Maybe plastic locks really are the answer though:-)

I’ve noticed that there are 4-pin versions available in 20mm. The locks supplied with the CBx000 series devices have all been 3-pin, which make it easier to open; adding a fourth pin makes them at least somewhat tougher. The Abus 65/20 is a solid example. I’ve ordered several different types to see if there are any that resist picking.

The Abus 65/20 has arrived and I couldn’t pick it. It’s a four-pin lock in the same size as the 55/20 that comes with some of the chastity devices. For me, this really boosts the mental challenge:-)
