Jailbird versus Birdcage

Comparing the Differences I currently own two ExtremeRestraints products – a Jailhouse and a Birdcage. I figured it would be worth looking at how they stack up against each other. The main difference is length; the Birdcage is noticeably longer (in fact, I plan to reach out to them about shortening it by an inch or so). However, it tucks in nicely between my legs, while the Jailhouse sits more traditionally within my underwear. Construction-wise, the Jailhouse uses thicker hoops that limit access, whereas the Birdcage’s design makes hygiene easier. Both lengths work well during the day, but I find the Jailhouse just a bit short for optimal nighttime comfort. It came with three rings; I’m using the largest one right now, though an intermediate size (47mm or 48mm) would probably be perfect. Since they come from the same manufacturer, the rings swap between them easily. However, oddly enough, the lock bar on the Jailhouse rings is 1/8” longer than those on the Birdcage ring, resulting in a slightly loose fit. Hello, What an excellent review. I wish we had found this about a week ago. I surprised my wife by having the birdcage delivered on New Year's Eve. I wore it that day and was freed that evening so I could sleep. Since then, I’ve been in the birdcage since the afternoon of the 1st. I think the ring might be slightly too small for me at 1.75" because I still feel some soreness at the base of my testicles. As for wearing it daily, it feels a bit long to me (IMO). It’s manageable, but sitting down can be tricky, and it sometimes interacts with the inseam of my pants. It gets pulled forward and needs several adjustments throughout the day. Also, I’m fairly active at our local gym group. Today was my first time being locked up; I hoped for a break after a couple of hours, but that turned out to be wishful thinking. Anyway, I was nervous that despite layering and other precautions, it would be noticeable (and it was) during certain stretches and warm-up exercises. However, with all the scanning around in my anxiety, no one seemed to be staring at my crotch... like they ever do... funny how the mind feeds our anxieties... anyway, we ended up playing some basketball. While I was aware of the device the whole time, only a few people bumped it. There was one play where an opponent accidentally got a good feel and it was an oh-sh!t moment ... I just kept going and hoped he thought I was wearing a cup or had my phone in my pocket... rumors might start, but I’d be surprised if anyone actually asks me. In short, I’m happy with the look and enjoy being able to get fuller erections (with a bit of guidance down the curve). I can stay active at the gym and play sports while remaining secure. I haven’t tried it yet, nor do I plan an unauthorized escape. All that said, we ordered the Jailbird and expect it to arrive sometime tomorrow morning. I’m a little apprehensive about the smaller cage but fully excited about the daily comfort and compatibility with regular life that this device seems to offer. If nothing else, we’ll have fun having two good-looking and mostly functional devices (assuming the JB works out at least as well as the BC). ...my mistake... we ordered the JailHouse. Amazon had it for $100 versus $140 at Healthy and Active ... funny thing is that it was H&A's storefront on Amazon ... I love how easy it is to get kink gear, a cookbook, and whatever else all from one place online .. but i digress anyway... the BC seems to be working just fine as a daily cage ..except its unreasonable length so we decided to give another off-the-shelf product from the same company a shot ... this will also allow us to swap cages quickly (physiological response willing) limiting my time unrestrained. This is our first go at it with a device and a "no earlier than" date (honor system, previously) and since getting over an initial comfort hurdle, i won't bore you with the details as they are not important to this or our privacy... (i have received permission to post insights about the products ... we really didn’t discuss sharing our intimate details. I am just about on top of the bell curve and definitely fall in the first standard deviation (to the right) when it comes to size, and I am a grower not a shower ... yet I seem to be showing a bit more (an inch?) inside the BC ... but fluctuations during the day cause minor discomfort and annoyance ... and when i do forget that I am wearing the BC and just plop down on a chair, I am quickly reminded of the extra length between my legs ... so ... in short (pun intended) like i said earlier i am eager to try the JAILHOUSE ... if I am lucky I will get a message to come home for lunch tomorrow:D or:o most likely:?: as we are learning what this all means to us.

It seems like you could add spacers between the cage and the lock. Glad you got over the comfort hurdle; that usually takes a fair bit of adjusting and adapting. As for showing a bit more while in the BC, part of it is getting used to it and making it your new normal. That took several months and a few different devices for me before I really "settled" in. Even now I am thinking I would like another cage that is 1/4" shorter as I almost always have a little room at the end. ...the call never came. I was looking forward to being set free for a little while even if it was just for a swap. My wife opened the package and laughed a bit at the shorter length and heavier weight, then realized that there were 3 rings in the box. ...What a difference. The JH may still be a touch long but just barely. I thought I was comfortable in the BC ... turns out I was just bearing it. The wider gap is allowing my balls to rest in a more natural position and handles temperature contraction better. It definitely has less accessibility, but the head is still easily teased. No time to elaborate right now, but I wanted to post a follow-up.

Firstly, I don't recall him asking my permission to flaunt 'my equipment':lol: He does seem to prefer the Birdcage now despite that little bit of extra unnecessary length. ...The very basic idea of any chastity cage is to restrict erection. Many people can enjoy full erection in a birdcage due to its length. I am locked in jailhouse - my first cage. I'm tempted by the off-the-shelf jailhouse but I'm wondering if the problems i'm experiencing with a CB6000s are likely to be repeated with the jailhouse. The main problem i have with the CB6000s is that when i get an erection, the whole thing moves out toward the end of the shaft, leaving an inch or two of the base exposed. My balls hang a bit and are fairly loose so the ring has plenty room to move which allows the whole thing to shift right away from the body to the tip of the cock. It looks ridiculous. Is the jailhouse likely to roam less and is it likely to be more comfortable? I gather the cage is suitable for smaller men. thanks! any comments or observations welcome!
