NEW MEMBERS - Check This Out First!

Because of the ongoing trouble with forum spammers, new members must now have their first posts approved by staff before they become visible to everyone. Essentially, we need to confirm that you are a genuine person before allowing you to take part. We apologize for the hassle, but this approach strikes a good balance between preserving our current community and accommodating those who wish to join us. Additionally, accounts with no posts will be regularly removed since 99% of them belong to spammers. Here is some advice for participating successfully in the community:

1. Pick a username that doesn’t look like spam. I can’t define it precisely, but here are examples of typical spammer names: » coombkeme » rasturlNutNiz » portxsheds » wina30Motoideorse » offewoxipsype » anahijv25 » axionia61 » Immuttper You’ll notice that many of these appear as a random mix of letters and numbers.
2. Visit HERE and create a “hello world” post. Let us know you’re real. You don’t need to share your blood type, but giving a rough outline of who you are and why you want to participate is helpful.
3. Don’t be alarmed if your initial posts don’t appear immediately. We moderate them to keep spam away. Once one of the friendly staff members sees your post, it will go live. Soon, you’ll be able to post freely without restriction.

Just a quick note: if you make your very first post in any forum other than the "Hello World" thread, and we don't recognize your name (which is expected since you're new), we will likely delete it. Also, if you are a newcomer starting a new topic with a vague title—such as "Problem sleeping," "Hi, new here," or "Looking for info"—your post might be deleted because those are *precisely* the types of titles spammers use. We don't read every single post; we delete them based on how well they fit the profile of a typical spammer. However, you just need to get three simple posts approved, and then you can do pretty much whatever you want.
