How Is Time Measured While Chaste?

Two weeks are in the books, and week three looks like it will pass without an orgasm as well. Since this Thursday is Thanksgiving and my wife and I are hosting at home in our small apartment, I plan to ask for release from the chastity device so that any accidental bump doesn’t result in hard plastic or a metal lock against me. I really don’t need my mother finding out.
So here’s the question: if I am released from my CD but still denied orgasm and then promptly put back into the device after family leaves, does the time keep counting, or does my chastity clock reset? Also, once allowed to have an orgasm at what point do you start the clock over? -MFL CB6KS Locked since 11/5/2012 Release date: Sometime after Thanksgiving
There isn't an international governing body for the MC game, and there's no official rulebook, so how you count is entirely up to you—if you bother counting at all. My wife was a bit surprised when she asked me once after a longer lockup "now, how many days was it?", and I couldn't answer immediately. I knew it had been longer, and I knew the whole experience was fun from start to finish and ended well, which is what mattered to me.

In this case, I'd argue that if you are under orders to stay chaste even while unlocked, then the clock keeps ticking.

Not true!! There are two internationally recognized rules for chastity. They are written in stone. 1. The Keyholder is always right. 2. If they are found to be wrong, refer to rule number 1:o .
There are various reasons for unlocking. We count between orgasms ('O's), so being unlocked without cumming still counts toward the total for us. I haven't read a formal rulebook; we just do what works. As everyone knows, though, what works for one person might work for all—or maybe not. lol.

Of course that's not correct. If you aren't doing it my way, then you're doing it wrong. I should know because I'm *always* right, and anyone who disagrees with me is obviously mistaken.
I would be more worried if your family member bumped your groin area and then ASKED YOU ABOUT IT! How does that conversation go? "Wow, sorry I bumped you, but you must REALLY have balls of steel down there.. hahaha."

"Wow, sorry I bumped you, but you must REALLY have balls of steel down there.. hahaha." My mother has no shame whatsoever and occasionally grabs my crotch just to be silly, much like she did when I was a kid. When I started wearing tights, she grabbed my crotch again to make sure they still had room. So it is totally possible that if something odd is noticed, I would get called out on it. So far I haven't asked, nor has my wife suggested being released. Let's see how it goes. Thank you all, -MFL
Well, my wife solved everything. I suggested being released because I didn't want to risk family members noticing, but she said No. She went on to say that it's all in my head, that no one would notice, and that she never notices it except when spooning in bed. I must admit that when she said no, I was very pleased. I'll save the rest of my experience for my journey entry. -MFL
As a complete spreadsheet geek, I keep track of both situations (days of denial and days in the lock) separately... on the same worksheet, by the way.
