Hey there, I’m new to MC (check out my Hello World post), and my wife and I had a curious chat about this: Does keeping yourself in chastity / denying orgasm hurt your work output? What have you experienced? During those multi-day teasing and denial stretches, we both noticed it gets harder to stay concentrated at the office… Is this mostly an early-stage thing that fades as you adapt? Or is it a permanent side effect of MC? Appreciate any insights or comments.
Earlier this week was my first time wearing the device to work. The only change I spotted in myself was that I got too worried someone might see it underneath, so I stayed glued to my desk more than usual. LOL.
I haven't done a really long denial yet—probably just two weeks max. I did notice that my mind wandered to sexual thoughts about twice as much as usual, but I still managed to get my schoolwork done when it mattered. I can't say for longer periods though. As for wearing the device while working, since I'm always on the move and lifting things, I worry about putting too much strain on this plastic cage of mine. Once I switch to metal, I won't even be able to find a way out when at work... Not that kind of escape, haha. I just realized it might help to clear up that distinction.
At first, I was constantly worried about how I sat down, fearing someone would spot the bulge in my trousers. My workplace had mostly men, so it wasn't rare for them to notice and mention it. Now I barely register it, and it's never been a problem. Regarding job performance, initially my mind kept drifting back to my predicament throughout the day; now I don't give it a second thought. It’s like wearing a ring: at first you fidget with it or spin it around your finger, but over time feeling without it seems strange. That's how I feel about my Jailbird too. It has become part of my jewelry. Because it is so comfortable and feels normal to wear, I rarely think about it anymore. Finding a good fit for cross-dressing matters depending on the activity. With the CB models, bending down to pick things up from the floor was sometimes restricted or even painful. That issue disappeared once I switched to the Jailbird.

When I wore the CB models I found that my ability to bend over and pick things up off the ground was sometimes compromised and a few times painful. That problem was eliminated when I moved onto the Jailbird. Since I have a Jailbird ordered, this puts me at ease. It seems our experiences with the CB model were quite similar overall, so it's reassuring to hear your jailbird experience is going well. We had that general expectation anyway, but nice to see it confirmed here now.
Staying chaste is a peculiar lifestyle. The more you adapt to it, the less you want to stop! For me, if I go without being locked up for just a couple of days, I feel like something is missing down there! Obviously, one needs to get properly adjusted to the cage first.
I find that during those initial few weeks it really does affect me. I become easily distracted by thoughts of my fate and what awaits when I get home. Now, after 93 days, my work rate is back to normal levels. I let myself spend about half an hour on this forum before diving into the rest of my tasks—much like reading the newspaper before starting your day. Mrs K & I talked it over, and she says there's even more reason for her to lock me straight up again once I finally get an orgasm in the next three weeks. I'm leaning towards agreeing with her, though I do enjoy that initial feeling of being locked after a period of freedom.
It's interesting to read everyone's replies. Generally, staying in lockup helps me stay more focused and productive. I'm even feeling a bit more creative too.

In public settings generally, I often choose to take my device off... it comes on when I leave the house and goes back off when I return. The times I keep it continuously are when I'm in a good groove with it; it stops feeling noticeable to me, so it makes no difference whether it is on or not. However, if my outfit makes me feel self-conscious about it... then I won't wear that day. On the other hand, the effects of denial persist even if the device is temporarily removed. When stressed, I tend to focus on a few planning tools influenced by the denial state. At the start of each day, I review my total task list and identify 2-3 items that are realistic for that day. I set aside about an hour for other projects or random tasks, but everything else stays prioritized until completed. This reduces my stress reaction from trying to do everything and accomplishing nothing.
