Jailbird on its way

I’ve measured up carefully and just placed my order for the Jailbird. My Keyholder has already hinted at extended lockups, plus plenty of teasing and denial:) It was neat to see that my JB sizing matched almost perfectly with what I wore in the CB 6000. The main difference will be the base ring. I went with the 1 7/8 size. I tried on a 1 3/4 one; it fit, but it felt so tight that pinching and pressure on my testicles would have been unbearable. Asking all you JB veterans here: is the testicle pressure similar to what we get in the CB 6000? Pumped for time with my KH!

Seems like our orders landed within a week of each other. I picked up a JB last Tuesday.

My transition was from the CB6000s to the Jailbird. While a small model fit me well, I opted for a smaller base ring of 1 3/4" along with cutting half an inch off the tube length. I'm nearly ready to switch from my CB 6000S over to steel. I'm currently weighing the JB against the QK and the WM from MM. Plan is to drop half an inch in tube length, but I'm on the fence about reducing the base ring size below 2 inches. During fitting trials, any ring under 2 inches caused significant testicle pain during night erections. So many small choices with such big long-term impacts!

If it's an option, I really recommend ordering two rings. That way, if you later decide to swap sizes or grab another one, you won't have to send the whole package back to MM. Many of us have shared over time that we tend to downsize our ring once we get used to the device.

Great tip, Locked. May I ask what your experience has been like with the JB after using the CB6000S? And why are you leaning toward the WM?

I adored my CB6000s, but it was time for a change. The JB has been great so far. I find myself much more comfortable in the JB with almost no pinching issues. It's also easier to stay locked long-term because keeping clean is effortless. Lately, I've been considering something different and have been intrigued by comments from others here about the feeling of being unable to see or touch oneself while wearing a device like the Steelheart (CD). My wife likes the JB for its openness, allowing her to tease me whenever she wants. Personally, though, I'd love to try something slightly more enclosed, similar to my old CB6000s. This seems like a good compromise, plus it means sticking with a manufacturer I trust and have had great success with, ensuring my current JB base rings will fit the new WM.
