Worship: How Do You Define It?

Hubby and I were chatting about worship… I shared my take on what it means and checked the dictionary definition. So, how do you define worship? I’m talking about showing devotion to your partner, their body, specific areas, etc.:) Can’t wait to read your thoughts!

I'm not sure I've ever hit that level of worship. But I have reached the point where I need to give her oral sex because I know the cage isn't coming off and my sexual energy needs an outlet. She finds this amusing.

I don't think "worship" is driven by things like that... it's more about showing adoration, deep respect, etc. You don't have to be denied or sexually frustrated to show worship. I look forward to those days... if they happen. Our oldest is on the spectrum and has medical needs too (which is partly why I homeschool her). It's hard but she still has a ways to go learning life skills, which I am teaching her.:) One day she will be old enough to handle her own medical stuff and we can have a night alone! Lol.

Our children are now grownup, long gone, and gainfully employed, so privacy isn't an issue. The advantage of being older is somewhat bittersweet; you better realize that life is truly finite, so there are things we want to experience before age overtakes us. The real downside is that my sexual stamina is definitely not what it used to be, a problem Beth doesn't have to deal with....because she's not doing without. Fortunately the experience has fulfilled both our needs, despite a few bumps (which actually continue to add intensity).

Interesting word. I do not worship any one or thing specifically. However I do surrender to my wife. With that said, we use the word in our play, like being asked to worship a body part, so I get it in a sexual context but never feel like I am actually worshipping anything, just doing what is wanted of me. Perhaps the difference is that I am only submissive during sex and afterwards I go back to my old dominant self. Makes it kind of hard to worship someone only at certain times rather than for most of the time. Just my thoughts on it. I like the phrase 'I worship the ground you walk on'. That is how I feel about my wife. She has a demanding but rewarding job and I admire her for that. She is understanding, patient, and non-judgmental. On top of all that she is my best friend and very sexy!
