Sleep at night? I’m entering my fifth day of continuous lock-up…my first time staying this long without a release. How do you manage to sleep through the night? What’s the secret? I know it’s supposed to get easier as days pass, but i don’t think that will happen for me. This isn’t my first experience with chastity. It is just my first time going this extended period with no release from the cage. i’m scheduled to be released either midnight Monday or hopefully Tuesday, depending on how my wifes mood is feeling. What happens next depends entirely on her mood. I know a good cleaning will definitely happen. i’m not sure what comes after that, but i am excited to find out.

Going up a size with the base ring certainly helped me sleep better for the early days.

there are two magic tricks that both work at the very first nights in chastity, and they are quite simple: 1. dont drink any more for 2 to 5 hours before you go sleeping. 2. put some lube between your ring and your balls. when I tried this it did work amazing, never woke up again and it feels a lot better! I find that I have fewer problems when I stay hydrated. Obviously too much isn't good but for some reason a little bit helps me.

Pillow top mattress, or one of those memory foam pads that you can add to the top helps for rolling over and sleeping on your stomach. A device that's small and tucked into the body works better for me than a bigger (the curve for instance) one. My cb6000s is much easier for me to sleep in than my older designs. The ring doesn't dig in and chafe my nuts at night as much.

My issue is the attempted erections that obviously can't happen. Swells my balls up till they're blue/purple and it's so tight i can't move it. If i go pee, it helps a little and i will walk around for a couple minutes and eventually all is better. Staying hydrated or the opposite has not made a difference. I do use lube daily, before bed and after a shower at a minimum. We use coconut oil for just about everything, including cooking, dry skin, on our feet. i've started using that and it seems to work better than silicone or anything else. It still doesn't help at night. i don't sleep on my stomach anyways, so that's never the issue. it's just the raging hardon that's trying to be attempted, i wake to the pain that's happening. It's the only time i ever really hate that i'm wearing the device. The only other time i ever feel any kind of pain is if my wife is teasing me, but that's a good pain. Sad thing, she doesn't seem bothered that the cage wakes me every couple hours at night. She likes knowing i'm in pain every now and then. She's not mean, but she does have a mild sadistic side to her. i both love it and hate it. Thanks for the advice, but hopefully someone else has a better idea for me. Again, i've been playing with chastity off and on for a couple years now, it's just this time it's real because i do NOT have access to any key. My hygiene is completely up to her as is any freedom i get now.

I too have had a miserable time trying to sleep. I get an AWFUL burning sensation around the ring on the balls. Sleep was really the last problem I thought I'd have once I was used to it. I've worn it out in public, and plan to wear it to work tomorrow, but I can't surrender the key if I can't sleep in it. If it were just tightness from night erections or something like that, I'd be able to handle it. But this is a really intense burning pain, and I read that you shouldn't mess around with legit pain while in the device.

LockedDarius - I had a ball burn problem. As it turns out, the gap was too small. I had to send my JB back to MM for adjustment. A 1/16" increase in the gap fixed the problem completely. As they often say here at the Forum, your results may vary:-)

Vary, indeed. I wish there was a ring size one bigger. I'm already using the largest one and it's a TIGHT fit.

Are you talking about the standard set of rings that come with the CB6xxxx? Are you aware that "*Kept For Her *" has 2 1/8' & 2 1/4" rings available? $25 each or both for $40.

I didn't really want to invest any more money in it for now, but I just may have to pick these up. While the biggest ring it comes with is fine the rest of the time, I need something I can sleep in if I want to do this long term. (And I do.) And I could go quite a bit bigger before security becomes an issue.

Glad to help, I hope it works for you.

Ball burn = Lack of lube around base ring. In my experience anyway.

From my FAQ: For many, sleeping is the toughest part of wearing the device. First, sleeping on your stomach is not recommended. Either sleeping on your back (ideal) or side with a pillow under your leg will help you to have room to be comfortable. Some helpful suggestions - Urinate as much as possible prior to sleep. Try not drink too much fluid before bed, hydrate more in the morning and day if you can. If you wake at night, do your best to relax and urinate again. Some folks use ice to reduce swelling to help things relax as much as possible. Lastly, give it time. Opinions vary about how much pain you should put up with in order to training your body to become accustomed to sleeping the night in the belt. If you can't make it through a night at first, take the device off, try again the next day or so. You'll get more and more used to it if you follow suggestions.

For me, ball burn came from how tight the skin was stretched over my nuts when they were trying to retract. For a while, I took to putting the end of an old sock over them (like a bag) to keep them from being rubbed. After several months of not wearing wearing the device to bed, then slowly working up to sleeping in it, the problem seems mostly gone. I'm guessing the skin finally stretched and has more give, and/or has acclimated to it. I still have to take it off sometimes when I'm on the toilet, which is often since I have Crohn's disease.

I did not read all the responses but for me I lube up the inside of my CB and the ring around my base. Makes for a better morning.

member_64c1d66d18 6 Sept 2026 #17

I'll throw in my CB related two cents - I basically did as everyone above with one addition, summarized as follows: generally keeping my balls lotioned, bit if lube under the ring before bed, moving to a smaller ring and cage (the s), and finally, using a long strip of cotton/spandex to basically create a jockstrap that holds the ring right against my pubic bone. This was the game changer for me, and actually solved any bit of discomfort I had throughout the day. Absolutely prevents the near full erection with balls yanked out 5" because the ring can't move. Not so important during the day for most around here I suspect, but with a motorcycle daily commute and night sleeping problems, the simple, completely discreet belt I made works amazing. There's a downside though that is triggering my move to metal. As discussed here a lot, the welds on the CB aren't THAT tough, and anchoring to your hip means your erection loads up the weld a lot more. My weld started splitting. I used super glue and reinforced the weld completely and it's since been fine, but I'm looking forward to using my belt with a metal cage. It's totally unobtrusive if you make it exactly like a jock in strap configuration and I've slept like a baby ever since. Key is to anchor to the top of the base ring and then once to the bottom from between your legs. Also, no more jackhammer into the motorcycle tank either.
