Is the chrome plating on steel rather than stainless? You might find better luck with the DHGate option.

I owned a model like that and found it terrible. Besides being plated, its thin walls were too narrow, causing pinching on the skin between the cage and base ring. I wore it just once before getting rid of it...

I experienced that issue too, but I fixed it using a sticky-backed sponge cut to size. It passed my test and works well with the oversized one included.
