Hello! I recently began wearing a chastity device while my wife acts as the keyholder, and I have some queries. I purchased an metal “Jailhouse” model which resembles the jailbird style but features metal rings rather than horizontal bars. I believe I will eventually order a custom one from MM. First off, can wearing this type of device lead to any long-term physical issues? What is the ideal fit for the ring? I have tested 1.5, 1.75, and 2-inch rings. The 1.5 fits tightly but feels secure, while the 1.75 and 2-inch options are more comfortable. However, the larger rings tend to slide down my shaft somewhat. With the smallest ring, I can barely fit my index finger underneath it up to the first knuckle. Once inserted into the device, there is just under .5 inches of space before reaching the tip. Is that too much room? When using the 1.75 or 2-inch rings, I often wake up at night with a burning sensation at the base of my scrotum where the ring sits. While wearing the smallest ring, I decided to watch some porn. Wow! It was quite painful. My cock and balls hurt significantly as I got erect. I had to pause the video. Lesson learned;) I also want to experiment with a strap on harness while locked up so that my wife can fuck me using a large black cock attached to it. Has anyone else tried this or could suggest a good men’s harness?
I believe there is some risk of long-term damage if circulation gets restricted. If the cage part is too tight, you might develop edema, though I haven't determined yet whether that poses a serious threat. However, I think these problems are not very likely unless your fit is poor and you ignore the signs. Until you understand exactly how the cage interacts with your anatomy, I suggest paying close attention to your genital area and addressing any issues immediately. The most common problems you'll face are all resolvable in the short term. Your base ring shouldn't allow more than one finger past the first knuckle underneath it, even when completely flaccid, based on what I've heard. That said, I think you need a bit of room to maintain good circulation. If it's so tight that urine can barely pass through, then it is definitely too snug. If pinching or burning are your only complaints, try using lubricant instead of opting for a larger ring. I haven't tried a strap-on harness myself yet, but I recently bought one with this exact fantasy in mind. It is a Spare Parts Deuce ( It's comfortable, fits perfectly, and holds a dildo very well. I plan to write a detailed post about it when time permits. This harness is pricey, though, and I'm unsure how it stacks up against other options on the market.
> Is there long term damage? People have been doing this for ages. If there were significant long-term issues, we would know about them. Before starting our journey, we visited the urologist who said that if fitted properly, you will be fine. Improper fitting carries the risk of circulation problems and edema. > How should the ring fit? The base ring should be slightly snug; you should be able to slide your index finger underneath it up to the first knuckle. I don't mean forcing it under by crushing your shaft against it, but actually sliding it under easily. Based on what you've described, of the rings you own, the 1.75" seems best. If you go custom, you might be able to find something between 1.5 and 1.75. > I have just under .5 inches of space until the tip of the device. Is that too big? You really want the tip of the cage to rest right against the head of your penis. So if there is .5 inches of room at the end, you would benefit from a custom cage that is .5-.75" shorter than your current one. > Has anyone else done this or can recommend a good harness for men? Yes, we use a standard harness. The lock or post can cause some discomfort, but we are considering getting something like this:
Oh, I actually just ordered the rodeOH boxer brief strap on harness for my husband, so we will see how it works out with covering up the cage, lock, and post.
LadynMonkey covered everything nicely. But if you are in the UK, here is a harness (I haven't tried this specific one yet). ... 81174.html
If a base ring is too tight, the scrotum usually changes color noticeably and feels cooler than usual. If you aren't experiencing either of those signs, I would say there isn't much to worry about. A gap that is too small can also cause issues. Try wearing just the base ring for a day and night cycle. If everything goes well, but the "too tight" feeling returns when the cage is on, it is likely a gap issue. With your device, I don't think there is much to be done about that specific problem. The burning sensation underneath is probably due to lubrication issues. Before going to bed, apply some silicone lube or another type of long-lasting lotion. Nocturnal erections cause the cage to pull against the base ring, and I suspect this creates your burning feeling when there isn't enough lube present. If you are uncut, I think your cage length is about right. If you are cut and decide on a custom device, the end of the penis should be at or near the tip. With an "off the shelf" device, getting such a good fit can be lucky for now; don't worry too much. I believe everyone experiences some discomfort or odd sensations when starting out. If something just doesn't feel right, take it off. Until you learn what is normal while wearing a device, try not to tough it out unnecessarily. Very few people put on their first device and get it perfect immediately. There will be a learning curve for almost any device. By the time I acquired my CB6000s, I had six years of experience with four different chastity devices. Even then, I fiddled with the fit for another week to get it just right. Be patient, and everything will come together.
From my experience, the smallest ring that fits is almost certainly going to be too tight. Lady M's suggestion is a good one regarding this. As for the cage itself, it should always have the tip of your member touching inside. The measuring instructions on Mature Metal are perfect for determining cage length. My cage feels custom-made... oh yes, because it was! Many people second-guess their measurements. Post your measurement from the underside where your cock joins your scrotum to the very tip. Measure several times and give us the shortest number. I might be able to suggest a cheap Chinese cage of the correct length. No guarantees, but I have done research and trial-and-error testing. My cage fits so well (on the first attempt!) that I barely notice it most of the time. Erections aren't painful; they just make me feel slightly fuller inside the cage with a very slight pull away from my body. Once the erection subsides, the ring settles right back where it belongs. I have the Jail Bird model. It is highly effective and comfortable.
