I’ve survived two days locked up and mostly things are going well. I believe I’ve found the right base ring size for me, which is 1.75. But then I wake up in the night with an erection that really hurts. My testicles ache and my scrotum feels like it’s burning where it meets the ring. I’ve used lubricant but it still stings quite a bit. Since I can reach the key right now, I did have to remove the cage. Getting out of bed in the morning without it felt so nice that I had to fight hard not to masturbate before forcing myself back into the device. Once the arousal swelling subsides, things feel better again. Is this typical? Will it improve as time passes? If I order a custom piece, are there specific measurements that might help with these issues? Thanks

If possible, try widening the gap slightly. I've discovered that a gap that's too narrow is often the main culprit for ball burn.

To address your other question, yes, it will improve as you get used to it. Your body will gradually adapt to having the device secured around those sensitive areas. Also, in the early days, it doesn't help that all your focus is on that secure feeling down there. As others have mentioned, watch out if things start changing color or getting cold. Aside from that, occasional pain or discomfort is quite normal until you get acclimated. You need to find the right balance between the base ring size, gap width, and cage length. Good luck.

I agree with Atone. I ordered my JB with the standard 3/8" gap and suffered badly from ball burn. I sent it back and had them increase the gap to 7/16", and haven't had any issues since.

Getting through the whole night was the hardest part to adjust to, and I took my time testing various things. First off, what kind of lubricant are you using? When I was first adapting, baby oil gel worked best for me because it lasts a long time. Now I use A&D ointment (available in the baby care aisle) which is even better, although the unscented version has quite a strong scent. I used to sleep on my stomach too, but that didn't work well at all. I learned to sleep on my side with a pillow between my legs. Lastly, I wear loose boxer briefs while sleeping. During the day, tighter briefs help keep everything in place, but during sleep it's better to have some room for movement. Getting the belt fit right is also crucial - although I got used to living in a CB 3000, I haven't regretted switching to my Mature Metal jailbird at all. The base ring is much thinner and because it's custom-sized, its diameter is slightly larger than the largest one offered for the 3000. But sleeping definitely takes time to master. Try to make sure you empty your bladder completely before bed, experiment with different sleeping positions... while some say just toughing it out helps your body adapt best, I think giving yourself time to adjust is the better approach. Now I can sleep for a full 6-7 hours without problems, but that took time.

I'm now on my second night in the chastity device and it feels okay. The first night I couldn't sleep because of high arousal. My cock was pressing against the cage with that heavy, pleasant feeling rather than pain, so close to orgasming without doing anything, but I held back. One issue was precum; I got very wet and didn't want my bed ruined, so I put a balloon over the cage, keeping everything contained. The second night went better. I woke up with a strong erection, and although the cage had shifted away slightly causing a light burning sensation in the scrotum from the base ring, it wasn't painful—just that heavy, enjoyable arousal. It feels nice having the cock inside the cage and getting stimulated gently. Maybe tonight I'll take the device off. My goal is to see if after two days and nights of wear, my erection can become stronger since I have some ED issues. Right now it feels like I might explode if released, so we shall see.

Give it more than just two nights. Try several nights or even a couple of weeks..... Then you'll discover how hard you haven't been and what sensitivity and endurance you've been missing out on. The wait is worth the effort. But only two nights? Meh.

The pain from nocturnal erections took me almost a month to get over. The severity decreases day by day as the penis adjusts to being locked up. Now, after 2 years, my mind is so conditioned that I wake up automatically just before a nocturnal erection happens, pee, and go back to sleep.
