I’m still dealing with issues regarding my crossfire. As mentioned before, I went for the 93mm length option, which might be slightly too long. To fix this, I added a spacer (it’s not exactly like the one in the link below since I lost that specific URL, but something similar):

The total length is now roughly 75-80mm. It feels more comfortable overall, although I definitely feel increased pressure on the head of my shaft. However, when I wake up with an erection, it hurts significantly at the base of the tube (where the comfort ring sits). This happens because the part of the shaft sticking out reaches a 45mm diameter, while the tube itself is only 38mm wide. There’s a pretty distinct step there. The pressure on my skin becomes quite high in that spot, forcing me to take off the cage. I’m not sure if my erect girth is standard or perhaps above average. Specifically, at the base (when erected), the diameter is 45mm right where it meets the tube, compared to the tube’s 38mm width. What are your thoughts?

No replies? I put in a spacer to shorten the cage, but it’s still uncomfortable... I’m not sure what else to do. I also came across this page: ... t-vs-cb6k/ The length mentioned there is 105mm! I was convinced mine (93mm) was way too long, but now this makes me even more confused. I tried the cage again without the spacer. During my morning erection, it’s so tight that I can barely urinate because the cage compresses the penis to the point where the urethra gets blocked.

Apologies. I wish I could offer better advice, but we haven’t encountered these specific issues ourselves.

For me, it would be helpful just to know the shaft diameter at the base and the tube diameter from other Steelworks owners. For instance, mine is: 45-46mm for the shaft diameter and 38mm for the tube. When erect, there’s nearly an 8mm step where the shaft enters the tube. Steelworks users, please share your measurements! If I find others with similar sizes (or a comparable difference between shaft and tube) who wear it successfully, then I can focus on other parameters like length, base ring size (even though mine is 50mm, which is the max), curvature, etc. However, if the issue really is the tube diameter being too small, I might consider getting the larger tube option, even though it looks quite big...:? Thanks.

I’ll check our dimensions in millimeters (right now I only know them in inches) and send you a private message.;)

You probably shouldn’t have quite so much of your shaft sticking out *outside* the tube. Putting a 'spacer' at the end seems like the wrong approach—it sits the whole device too low. When you start getting erect, enough length remains outside to cause issues. Perhaps you need a smaller gap between the tube and the base ring. The size of the base ring itself might also be off. Regarding peeing with 'morning wood', you’ll just have to manage it (distract your mind) to lower your arousal levels.

> member_1f353e1d87 wrote: > > You probably shouldn't have that much of the shaft *not* in the tube, I think that putting a 'spacer' in the end of the tube is the wrong way to go- it sits the whole thing too low. When you start to get erect there is enough outside that can do so and it becomes a problem. If you look through my other posts here, you’ll see everyone on this forum telling me that shorter is better. So, if the issue was excessive length, the spacer would have been the right fix. I’m open to being wrong, but I also tried attaching the base ring to a belt (Dietmar soldered some eyelets into it) to prevent pull-out issues. The improvement wasn’t dramatic though. > Maybe you need a smaller gap between the tube and the base ring. It could be that the size of the base ring needs to be different as well. Maybe so. We can assume whatever we like, but I can’t just fix this by guessing randomly. I think it’s better to focus on one issue at a time. I’d appreciate some targeted help here. Now, if I use a 45mm (1.75") ring, that matches the girth of my shaft exactly where it enters the tube when erect. However, my current base ring has to be larger because it also needs to encompass the scrotum; therefore, I’m using a 50mm (2") ring. So, is my girth compatible with a 38mm tube? Is there anyone else here wearing a 38mm tube cage who has similar girth to me? If yes, then I’ll focus on other issues. For now, I haven’t gotten feedback on this specific point yet. > As far as peeing with the 'morning wood', you'll just have to do something (focus your mind elsewhere) to reduce your arousal. Look, if blood flow is constricted, there’s not much you can do except remove the cage. I guarantee that during morning erections, this is exactly what happens. Sometimes I notice swelling too, which isn’t great. This only occurs with 'morning wood', never during the day, but it’s an issue I absolutely need to resolve.

I’m not familiar with your history of devices, but is this your first one? If you’ve used others before, please tell us how they fit. And if you’ve had a device that fitted well previously, what’s different about this current one? That might give us some clues on where to start making adjustments.

If you've had a properly fitting device what is different to this device? Maybe this would give an idea where to start making changes. See these links below for the archived discussions: [the archived discussion] [the archived discussion] Sorry if I sound blunt, but why am I not getting direct answers to my question? I keep receiving questions back instead. I’m simply asking: what is your girth (or diameter when erect), and what is your tube diameter? Hopefully, I can get this information... By the way, I googled it and found studies by condom manufacturers stating that average circumference is 122mm, which means a diameter of about 38mm. Mine is 144mm, so a diameter of 45mm. Does this mean I should have ordered a 44mm tube from Steelworks? I’m confident the info will come... [the archived discussion] [the archived discussion]

I think I get your frustration. The thing is, everyone’s body is different, and what works for one person might be a disaster for another. It helps most to know your exact dimensions before making suggestions. Admittedly, I’m just offering educated guesses here since I’ve never owned your specific type of device. To me, part of the problem seems to be the spacer. Urinating would likely be difficult even when soft with that spacer in place, let alone when erect. If your penis opening isn’t directly over one of those small holes, how can urine get out? When I’m erect in my current device, a little bit of the head squeezes out around the ends/openings. I can urinate while erect without trouble because the slit is almost always aligned between the bars. When I was wearing the CB6000s, if the slit wasn’t lined up with the tube slot, I couldn't pee at all and had to use a Q-tip to line things up. I’d also feel uncomfortable when erect. I believe it’s because there wasn’t enough room for the head to expand. That spacer seems to create a similar issue. The Crossfire has some openings at the end. With the spacer you’re using, it looks like your entire penis might be enclosed (like in a Steelheart), leaving no room for expansion. With a totally enclosed device, you generally want dimensions closer to your normal flaccid state, not smaller than that. Check with Thumper on this; he knows more about this specific device. In my opinion, it boils down to: wrong tube size (both diameter and length).

It's best to know your dimensions and then make suggestions from that. Okay. My flaccid length is 90-100mm. I’ve never measured my girth while flaccid, but I can enter a 35mm tube without any trouble. When erect, the length is about 140mm and diameter 45mm. > member_75c78a1ec7 wrote: > > Admittedly I'm just making educated guesses here because I've never had your type of device. > > It would seem to me that part of the problem is the spacer. I would think urinating would be hard when soft with this spacer, let alone hard. If your penis slot isn't directly over one of those small holes, how can urine come out? To be honest, the problem exists both with and without the spacer. It might even be worse without it. My feeling is not that the holes are misaligned as you suggested; rather, I feel the shaft is being squeezed too tightly and the urethra is compressed. So, what’s next on the agenda? > member_75c78a1ec7 wrote: > > In my opinion it comes down to this, wrong size tube, diameter and length. So, are you suggesting that I’m right in assuming I might have ordered a 44mm tube?

I know you’re looking for numbers to compare against, so I’ll try to help. Currently, I use a 38mm diameter tube that is 90mm long and a 50mm base ring. The top of the tube sits only a few mm from the top of the ring, creating one real pinch point occasionally. When flaccid, it fits snugly and comfortably. My uncaged full erection measures ~196mm in length, with 50mm width and 45mm height (top to bottom). As someone who is a 'grower' rather than a 'shower', morning erections are painful and turn purplish until I control my thoughts, calm down, or splash some cold water on it. Urination isn't immediate; it takes about a minute for room to open up, after which it’s kind of like spraying from a kinked hose until the erection subsides. I’ve broken two CB6000s before, and trust me, those pinches hurt, so I’m done with plastic. My current CD has several openings that expand when aroused without being painful like the CB6000 did. I'm looking at a Steelheart 2 as my next purchase. They measure length including the gap and ring material diameter. Their plan is to get the 100mm length with a 38mm diameter tube, and I’m considering their 47mm ring because 50mm feels too big most of the time, while 45mm was just one size step up from my current setup. The issue you're having with morning wood is similar. I view it as punishment for trying to get erect without permission! But everyone’s tolerance and desires differ. If it hurts too much, maybe a larger size would be better. However, I try to size based on the least amount of erection since that's what chastity devices are supposed to prevent. Morning wood only lasts a few minutes out of the whole day. I’ve had this design (name unknown, just a cheap Chinese metal one) for several years and have worn it as long as 186 days. My current stretch started Jan 7, 2014, though I don't know when my next release will be. Good luck with sizing; there’s lots of measuring, re-measuring, and trial-and-error involved.

Flaccid I fit snug and comfortable. Uncaged full erection is ~196mm long and 50mm wide and 45mm top to bottom so as a grower vs shower morning wood is painful and purplish until I control thoughts and calm down or splash some cold water on it. Thanks, this is really encouraging since your girth is very similar to mine. On the other hand, you’re experiencing pain just like me... If you say that it’s temporary, maybe I can try too. My worry was that the erection wouldn't go away and I’d have to remove the cage; perhaps I can keep it on for a while. > member_29b1a705b2 wrote: > > I've had this design, name unknown just a cheap China metal one, for several years and have gone as long as 186 days. Just curious: where did you find that cheap cage with the 38mm diameter? I had to order a custom one from Steelworxx; generally, cheaper cages tend to have a 35mm diameter.

Just make sure not to get stuck with a bulk item order unless you actually want fifty or one hundred units. It’s a cheap place for general stuff rather than specialized sex toys. I’m sure most are knock-offs, but I’ve had no issues from them. Just check the seller reviews.

I'm sure most are knock-offs but I've had no problems from them. Just check seller reviews. Really? I’ve ordered devices from that site before. Despite searching for quite a while, I couldn’t find any with the 38mm diameter there. Do you have a specific link?
