That’s precisely the question I have for everyone here regarding this topic. While nothing is set in stone between those two groups, knowing your specific measurements really helps when choosing a custom steel cage. It also aids significantly even if you just pick one off the shelf.
But what about those of us who fit into both categories? I measure 3 1/2 inches flaccid and 6 1/4 inches erect, and I’m definitely on the hanger side. My current cb6000 hangs so low that it’s hard to keep the base ring snug against my body. Some might call me a shower given how much growth there is, which leaves me wondering where I truly stand.
I am currently looking at steelwork and mature metal cages, so any advice or recommendations would be appreciated. After enduring the painful splitting sensation that many experience—and while the glue has remained intact—I am absolutely finished with plastic cages.
Thanks:)
Regarding MM sizing... head over to their website and stick to their guide. Avoid relying on just one measurement; if you have ANY doubts about how to measure (or any other concerns), feel free to email them directly. I don't believe they will find meeting your dimensions difficult at all. They are very responsive, experienced in this lifestyle, and genuinely care for their customers.

Don't rely on a a single measurement, and if you have ANY questions regarding how to take the measurement (or any other concerns), don't hesitate to email them. I don't think they'll find anything particularly challenging about meeting your dimensions. They are incredibly responsive, live this life, and truly care about their customers. Cool. Thanks RegularJoe for pointing that out. Our order is coming up soon, so thanks for the tips.
