Just a query. I’m using the Jail House M200 and it’s quite comfortable, although something between those 45mm and 50mm ring sizes would be ideal. However, I can’t justify buying the JB right now—it’ll have to wait for a bit—so we make do with what we’ve got. Still, it’s miles ahead of that first device! Just thinking about the original one brings back the pain; it pinched and was too bulky and long to be comfortable.
But here is my question regarding whether those cage pins are truly essential. They appear designed to stop the cage from sliding backward excessively. Is this actually a problem though, since the pressure usually pushes OUT toward the end of the cage against the lock? On the other hand, perhaps they serve to keep the cage’s rotation aligned with the ring. When I received my JH, the pins weren’t set quite right either. I had to tweak them so they slid into the holes smoothly rather than binding up. Inserting it initially was an experience in itself. Removing it the next morning while sporting a morning erection when they got stuck was even more memorable.:o
They do make positioning tricky, though. The stocking material catches on the pins as I pull myself into position, and then they tend to pinch and poke while I try to align them with the ring holes. That really stings, especially since sensitivity increases the longer you wear it! So far, all my sores are from pinches or pokes by a stray pin. (Note - next time I’m out, I should chamfer those openings for easier alignment). I’ve noticed that the JB model doesn’t have these pins.
So what do you reckon? Are they necessary? Is there value in having a cage that can swing freely independent of the ring, or should they stay locked together as one unit? Should I snip the pins off (and smooth them up) or leave them be? I’d probably fill those holes in the ring with silicone if I removed them to prevent dirt buildup and stop them from becoming little traps.
Any thoughts?
They seem crucial. If the cage rotates too much, it might let you slip out or cause injury. The pins prevent the cage from pushing back and getting pinched between itself and the ring. I find wearing them very comfortable.
That was my first device too, and I liked it well enough. However, after about two weeks of wearing it, something must have happened—perhaps sleeping on it or putting pressure on the device—which caused those two extra pins to keep popping out. The device would rotate freely, causing the loose pins to pinch me, which hurt... Without any pins at all, the device can spin a full 360 degrees.
You are correct. I hadn’t realized that on the JB, the **lock** passes through both the base ring pin and the locking ring of the cage itself. On my JH model, it only goes through the hole in the single pin. Drilling out the hole in the cage’s locking ring might solve this issue and give me a bit more clearance. But that could make removal easier, which is currently nearly impossible for me! I wouldn’t want to risk damaging all those dangling components though. This place calls itself the forum for "gear heads," and I think I fit right in..... After posting my earlier reply, it occurred to me to look at the ring’s inner diameter. A 47mm or 48mm ring would suit me better. If I mount the ring on a lathe, I could shave off about 1 mm of material, which would increase the ID by roughly 2 mm. That gives me the larger size I need. Then I’d just need to round off the edges, polish them, and plate the exposed metal—giving myself an excuse to purchase some chrome plating solution. But then again, there’s the question of those pin holes remaining in play. Theoretically it should work, but the ring's radius might present challenges. Considering how expensive a mistake with the JH can be, messing up isn’t too bad financially, though I’ll have to wait until my HT arrives before attempting it. Especially after that lunchtime discussion. Last night she asked me when I thought was long enough before letting myself cum. I told her it’s up to her, but I’d like at least a week (since we are new to this) so the hormones and prostate fluid buildup can really take effect. Then at lunch, I took out those dice we bought over the weekend from their packaging and asked if she wanted to roll them for the decision. With a sweet smile, she replied, "Oh, I thought we’d wait until after that week is up." My stomach did flip-flops; butterflies everywhere... swelling in the cage....
