Seeking some guidance. It seems I’ll need to send my partner back for adjustments. Since she’s gone, I’d rather not go without a device, so I’m considering buying one from DHgate. I prefer something short and narrow for a tight fit. Any suggestions?

My JB is getting repaired. Depending on your measurements, you can find a decent option at DHGate. Here's the cage I'm using; it's long for me but acceptable otherwise (and affordable). ... 32163.html

I'd go with a snug fit. I haven't owned one of the budget dhgate models myself, but many others here have been happy with their purchases.

Yes, that's exactly why I'm asking. Tame Lion, thanks for the comment, but long doesn't work well for me.

Found this one. $18 = £11 with postage! A steal. ... 18714.html

Given their estimated shipping time of 20-31 days to the UK, you might actually get your JB back from MM at roughly the same time.

I won't send it away until this one arrives. The jb isn't unbearable; it's just not perfect. I can manage with it for now.

Ha, good decision then. Let us know how the "pinch hitter" is treating you.

The link I shared is for a 2 1/2" cage, which corresponds to a CB6000s size. My new JB is 1 1/4" wide. I want constant pressure against the end. Being without a cage while my JB gets shortened isn't an option. Mrs. Lion won't accept it.

The dh gate noob didn't even realize there were customer reviews further down the page until after ordering. It only has 1 negative review though; we're all built differently so it might work for me. I'm sure you'll let me know.

I prefer a short cage, and this is the best of several dhgate models I've tried. It's so small that my cock head retains the cage's imprint when removed, yet it remains the most comfortable one I've worn: ... |807029779

The link isn't working for me mate; it says the item doesn't exist.

member_35559a144a 1 Sept 2026 #13

It works when I click on it myself, mate.

member_8eede75742 1 Sept 2026 #14

The link worked for me too. I'm starting to think shorter is much better. Every new device I try seems a bit shorter than the last one.

member_56a3d51043 2 Sept 2026 #15

Go short! How does that old beer commercial go. Feels great and less bulky.

The length is slightly too short for me, but what really ruled it out was the 1" diameter. I need 1 1/4". That quarter inch makes a significant difference (almost an inch in circumference).

Hey! I wear a DHGate device labeled 'A080'. The beauty of this model is that you can bend the rings together to reduce the length!!! Mine measures about 5cm from top to tip. That's close enough to two (2) inches, I believe. The internal diameter is 33mm, which is practically 1 3/8th inches... Base rings come in various sizes. My only gripe is the hinge... You get a rubber sleeve to cover it, but it's too short. What happens is the ridges on the sleeve cause chafing under the scrotum over a wider area than the hinge itself!!! To fix this, I slid another sleeve onto extend those ridges up and around more than halfway of the ring, neutralizing the chafing. I think this could be a common issue with DHGate hinged rings. ALSO: many of the DHGate SOLID ringed devices are chrome plated.... so they rust easily and aren't great against the skin over long periods... So search for 'A080' and good luck!!! With kind regards, J.

Thanks for such an interesting discussion so far. I've been looking at some of these myself and always wonder how secure the connection is between the ring and tube on these models. I'm concerned about ball slippage, and to my eyes, some don't appear to have a very rigid attachment. Does anyone have advice or insights?

There's about an eighth of an inch of play in it - the tail of the cage can poke you slightly and maybe pinch. A bit of tape on that end fixes this. I just use one strip of tape (electrical or athletic) from the tail of the cage connector down through the ring a little (this also prevents pinching from the ring itself).

Basically any device with a padlock allows movement between the cage and ring. My Jail Bird has a security screw which makes the assembly rigid. It requires experimentation, but if the base ring is sized correctly, nothing will pop out and it won't rotate. It takes time and trial and error. I ended up buying 4 devices from DHgate with different rings and cages. Fortunately, most stainless steel models use compatible base rings. A 1 3/4" size turned out perfect for me (45 mm).

I found an Australian business selling plastic bushes and spacers in many sizes! I ordered some with an inner diameter nearly identical to the locking pin's diameter. By cutting them to fit the gap between the padlock hasp and the housing on the locking ring, I managed to eliminate most of the play. I also filed down one edge of the end of the locking pin. It’s essentially a clevis pin with a round 'head', like that on a nail. By filing one edge square, I got it to sit atop the bracket of the cage that engages with the base ring. Combine this with the spacer, which effectively pulled the square edge of the locking pin up onto the bracket and held it in place, and..... voila!!!! All play eliminated! With kind regards, J.

Thanks for all the answers. I'm seriously considering a device from dhgate, and everyone's responses have been very helpful. I wish I could afford an MM device, but until then, dhgate seems like a solid option.
