OOPS! Discovered the Key to My Device

I was tidying up the bedroom a while back and discovered my device’s key. My mind went into overdrive, and emotions surged through me. I recall being roughly twenty days into an uncertain lock-up period; even though I really wanted to release myself, I didn’t. Instead, I chose to tell my wife that she needed to find another spot for the key. How many of you have experienced something similar? (pun intended:lol: ) What did you do about it?

You ought to just toss the key away to keep temptation at bay.;) I haven't had this issue because she always keeps it with her.

I wish Missy kept the key on her person too. She used to carry it on a ring for a while but disliked having to retrieve it during play with her property. Before we got our current setup, she often mentioned wanting a chain necklace that held both the jewelry and the key. Now that there is one available, she hasn't brought it up again. Even at my most aroused state, I think I would skip using the key and let her know I'd found it. However, if she leaves me out for too long when I'm suffering the most, I wonder whether I could maintain enough self-control to resist.

The key wouldn't matter much because we use a deterrent system (a thin ribbon) that signals if it's been tampered with. I could unlock and remove the device, but I'd never be able to replace the ribbon exactly as she left it when locking me up. She would definitely catch me.

I faced this same situation a couple of times early on in our journey. I always handed the key back to her and did nothing about it. Since we are still relatively new at this, I don't want to lose her trust over such things. She seems to have found a good hiding spot now, but I try not to look for it. I'm very tempted since I have a general idea where she keeps it, though I haven't gone digging yet.

There's no need for me to fill in the poll; like many others here, there is no hidden key waiting to be found. MsM carries hers at all times, and I keep my emergency key with me too. It's tucked inside a signed-and-sealed envelope that once held a memory stick (made of soft plastic that can't rip easily, so getting it out means destroying the taped signature). So there really is no temptation!! d

A few months ago I located the key while my wife was away from home. I unlocked myself and was about to take care of business, but guilt overwhelmed me. Within five minutes, I locked it back up again. If I find the key in the future, I probably won't tell my wife because she might doubt whether I took advantage of her absence to unlock myself for a while. It could shake her confidence, which is something I want to avoid. So I'll just ignore it and forget that I found the key.
