Washing up plastic chastity devices

I looked through the forum archives using the keywords “cleaning” and “shower” to gather some advice on this topic, but didn’t find much. (To be fair, I only scrolled back through the first five pages of results, so there could have been useful tips further down.)

Occasionally, I need to step away from my Mature Metal Jailbird’s loving grip and put on the Holy Trainer—or perhaps even the Birdlocked, despite its concealment quirks—so I can walk through metal detectors at work. Last week, I was in that state for several days, and staying clean became a challenge.

Here is how I attempted to maintain hygiene—a starting point for our discussion:

• I took two showers every day.
• I used a spray bottle with an angled nozzle (which I believe I bought from keptforher a while back).
• I dried myself using cotton swabs and a blow dryer.
• I lacked a method to push a cleaning tool into the tube, aside from just using the bottle’s nozzle.

In the mornings, I filled the tube so high that it blocked full access around its entire circumference for washing.

I believe my issue was that I never achieved complete dryness, which caused “the stink.”

For those of you who wear plastic or resin cages (or have in the past), did you discover a routine to stay clean without having to take it off every day?

Seriously though, I don't think it's that major of an issue. I get the chance to unlock, clean up, and relock on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, which suits me fine. Sure, sometimes I smell a bit more "manly" than usual; honestly, that’s how we’re supposed to smell! Not like lilacs or some other floral perfume. I wouldn't want to go too long without washing, but it's really not a huge deal. I'm unsure of MsM's exact view on this, but personally, I'd rather she smells "natural" than scented, and I feel confident that if there were an issue, She would let me know! And so far, She hasn't said anything.

Hubby's enclosed steel device is used very sparingly because even a single day inside it makes things smelly... not the unpleasant kind of stink, nor that distinct man-sweat odor, just generally stuffy and sweaty. So when I do want to use him while he's in there, either we take him out for her showers before playtime, or baby wipes become our best friend since he can wipe himself down. But no blow jobs unless a shower has happened first!:)

Hi there! I experienced the exact same issue with my Birdlocked..... It's not plastic, but it is essentially a solid tube... I used a leather hole punch to create HEAPS more ventilation channels in that device... Unfortunately, this also reduced its structural strength enough that I could actually slip an entire finger through the gaps because they were wide enough to squish open! This made cleaning soooooo much easier, but what about security......:roll: Pity really, because the Birdlocked was by far the best device for handling night woods!!!! It felt like nothing!!! But... I'm getting off topic. If you're handy with a Dremel tool, I imagine one could craft a plastic version that looks very similar to Ms. Lori's tube (8 or 18 maybe??).... That might look pretty cool!!!! And it would open up the tube structure for easier cleaning....? Just my two cents! With the absolute kindest regards. J.

It wasn't that sweaty man smell I was referring to. That's not a big deal at all. It’s the odor from wet skin that never fully dries out while remaining enclosed for the whole day. That is a completely different ball game, really. Perhaps it's just an inherent limitation of enclosed devices, which is disappointing. Having someone hold the keys and take it off daily to clean creates a hassle that takes some joy away from the experience. Thanks for your input!

I'm currently in a CBcurve. I don't find cleaning difficult at all. It's not coming off just for the sake of being clean. So I grabbed a toothbrush and can slip it into the openings. With plenty of soap, I can scrub the inside surface quite well. The only area that is hard to reach is near the base of my shaft. The trick is to tug the cage away from your body so you have more interior space accessible for the brush.

WOW! Your cage has a lot of room. Even when I was wearing the CB2000, there's no way I would have been able to fit a toothbrush inside; and that one had bars on it. When I wore the Curve, I might have been able to use a toothbrush for about the last 2 inches by pulling back. FYI my MM cage diameter is 1 1/8".

I have used the cb6000 and 6000s, as well as the birdlocked, and now I'm wearing a custom-modded stainless device that is fully enclosed except for a pee hole which I slotted like the CB series. I have been locked away for months at a time without any problems. I've never had an odor issue, nor has my wife (and she can be quite sensitive to smells). I always use swab-its to wash and dry. They are industrial strength and each one lasts around 2 weeks. You can get them cheap on eBay, and they are worth every penny.
