She phoned me at the office to say she planned to unlock me tomorrow, but has forgotten where they are. She wasn’t joking around either. I was exhausted early in the week and rushing out by 5am. She recalls placing them somewhere in the bedroom but isn’t entirely sure of the spot.
Interestingly enough, during a lapse earlier on, I went searching for them only to find they weren’t in her usual places. A small pair of bolt cutters would do the trick, yet she told me I’m not permitted to use them just yet. It’s been rather stressful lately.
I envy your situation; how long has it been since you last had a release? My wife has experienced this herself—she mislaid her key and I held onto our spare for emergencies. Now she's got both of them back.
It’s been since last Sunday, so not too long. My personal best was 11 days and I wasn't keen on breaking that record right now.
I hope you manage to find them. Perhaps she intends to extend your previous streak? After all, when we surrender control of the key, they take charge. As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for. GOOD LUCK EITHER WAY
Do you believe they are truly gone, or is this a mind game? My dominant partner does things just to mess with me. If they have really disappeared, I might as well swap locks myself. You never know what could happen.
Oh no, they are genuinely lost. My wife isn't one for psychological games; she will tell me directly if she’s just keeping me locked up as part of real life intersecting with chastity. She is three months away from completing her Master's Degree and raising a child while I work 60 hours weekly. We have kids to manage and a large house that needs attention in the meantime. They are likely somewhere, and we’ll find them tomorrow; it’s just odd being stuck here right now. Going forward though, I want her to separate the keys so one is kept safe as a backup for when my Jailbird arrives soon.
... s-bad-art/ A bit lengthy read, but we've dealt with several mislaid key situations here.
Well, she actually found them today which was a relief. I got out to do some cleaning but that’s been it so far. She has been wearing the key on her necklace all day long—a sight she doesn't often show—which serves as quite a tease in its own right. We were outside for most of the day with the key prominently displayed, always making me wonder if passersby will notice and guess what it's for. Anyone familiar with chastity would likely have an idea. So there they sit now: so close yet feeling far away.
My dominant partner has misplaced our (only) key. It’s the same scenario: early in the morning and she can't recall where she put it because she never uses the same spot twice. When I told her that surely she must have it, she honestly didn't remember me leaving it out for her. Instead of jumping up to hunt for it immediately, however, she burst into laughter. She isn't inclined to look right now and I am not permitted to do so either, so I remain stuck until she feels like searching. We had a wonderful sneaky day off yesterday; after her second orgasm, she said she would unlock me for some edging but couldn't be bothered to get out of bed to find the key, leaving me locked up and frustrated. She has a habit of 'forgetting' to bring the keys when we take short breaks away from home. She always laughs hysterically once we figure it out together, so I think she finds my complete helplessness (save for bolt cutters) quite arousing.
She let me out later for some playtime and we both enjoyed it greatly, so I have no complaints. As I mentioned earlier, when my Jailbird arrives soon, I’m going to insist that she separates the keys just in case. While a trip to the hardware store could likely provide an appropriate screwdriver head to remove them, I don't want to risk having to find one while locked up. I am happily secured again but, as usual, have no idea where the key has gone. She claims this time will be different.

So far I haven’t had any issues with mislaid key. I keep an emergency key in a waterproof pill container (I paid $2.50 for it at Safeway supermarket). It is sealed with a numbered, tamper-resistant label. I carry that container on my keyring specifically for her truck since we often take the vehicle on trips; this ensures I always have one available if she needs it. At other times, it sits on my dresser. We do this primarily for safety reasons. If an emergency arises and I need to get out quickly, I can. The Jail Bird lock uses a security screw so bolt cutters won't help me directly; vice grips might work instead. I really should carry the emergency key with me on my regular ring so it is always nearby. I currently keep it on the spare ring because I figure she is most likely to forget to pack it during trips, and I would hate missing out on a chance for fun.
My partner has occasionally mislaid our only key before. Usually I can tell because she suddenly starts dusting the bedroom (which is normally my responsibility). All objects get shifted by about an inch or so, and drawers are opened and closed repeatedly. Once the key is located, I am once again tasked with "Honey-Do" jobs around the house, while she resumes teasing me about possessing control of it. We have taken several road trips where the key was left behind at home. Both of us usually laugh it off, promising it won't happen again... yet it often does.

Dealing with mislaid key away from home is one reason I ensure my emergency case stays on my ring. So far Mrs. Lion always remembers her own, but I carry the spare in case she wants to unlock me while hers remains at home.
[quote="Tame Lion"]So far no lost key. I would hate to lose a chance for fun.[/quote Whether we have the key or not, my dominant partner and I will enjoy our time together sexually or otherwise since both of us benefit from me being locked. She might regret that control is somewhat absent, but I wouldn't miss it as it only heightens my desire to avoid full orgasms.
