Hi there, I hope this doesn’t get flagged as spam.

I wanted to ask: what’s the best approach for getting used to sleeping in a chastity belt? What has your experience been? Is it better to ease into it, like going to bed already locked up? My main issue is that I become very aroused once I’m in bed with my CB and then can’t fall asleep.

  1. Should I take the CB off after an hour or two to get some sleep, trying again the next night until it gets better over time? Or:
  2. Just stay locked all through the night? Maybe lock the keys away in a 4-digit box like I do during the day?

Thanks!

The best way to get used to it is simply to keep doing it. Your body adapts. It's not easy at first, but after about a week you'll feel much better. Make sure to pee right before getting into bed. Also, using some lubricant can be helpful. I use a steel cage, so I'm not entirely sure how that applies if your CB is model XXXX. Hope this helps!

For me, wearing underwear to bed makes a big difference. Before starting with chastity, I always slept without any (commando), but I found that everything got tangled up and felt strange at night. Now I wear my underwear while sleeping. d

If you have a CB-xxxx or another device with various ring sizes, choose a slightly larger ring than strictly necessary so that night erections aren't painful. As you get used to wearing it at night, gradually reduce the ring size—don't rush this process. If you find the smaller size too painful during sleep, wear only the daytime fit and swap to the next larger size for just one night before switching back. Over time, increase the number of nights you stay in the smaller size.

Even today, after two years in chastity, I still have 2-3 nocturnal erections each night, but they no longer hurt; actually, I enjoy them!

Last night was my first full night in my CB. There was some initial discomfort and a few pulling erections while waking up, but sticking with it because I'm sure it will get easier.

It really helps to keep the keys out of easy reach—for example, in the car parked on the street, dropped into flowerbeds where you'd need a flashlight at night, or tossed into the back of the garden shed. This prevents endless second-guessing and helps your subconscious settle down.

I had the same issue but think I found a good method, assuming everything fits well. I started on nights when I didn't have to work or wake up early. This helped reduce the anxiety and fear of not sleeping. Then I wore boxers under basketball shorts. Now I can sleep three consecutive nights without issues, even staying asleep all night. Surprisingly, it's becoming more comfortable at night now. If only I could find daytime clothes that let me wear my device without worrying about people noticing.

What works for me is applying lubricant around the ring before sleep, which helps if I get burning in my scrotum. I also use a silicone ring that allows the tube of my CB6K to pivot during an erection—which happens at least three times a night. When I first started sleeping with it, I would go to bed and remove the device if the pressure became unbearable, putting it back on before my KH woke up in the morning. Now, when I feel pressure from an erection, I roll over onto it; pushing down seems to resolve it faster. I still sleep naked so I can adjust things as I move during the night. I've found the snug fit of the CB6K more comfortable than the Curve model. My Curve doesn't integrate well with its silicone base ring. They say it gets better and more bearable... I'm waiting for that day too.

With my CB6ks, I wear Y-fronts to bed which keeps everything close to the body. Also, I use an unscented moisturizer; it works better than lube and absorbs over time since water-based lubes just leave me feeling sticky. Also, if my erection is strong, I openly slap myself once or twice; that quick pain stops the erection quite rapidly.

I find it easier to wear while sleeping than when awake. Since I tend to stay in one position during sleep, my CB6000s doesn't move around and chafe me much. At my age, nocturnal erections aren't a major issue plus I am small enough that there is room for growth inside the cage. I only woke up once when sleeping, which was during the first week of wearing it to bed. No problems since then. My wife doesn't require me to wear it while sleeping because I'm asleep anyway so it really doesn't matter. However, it's easier just to keep it on rather than taking it off and putting it back in the morning.

At first I didn't think so, and was ready to give up on sleeping with the device on, but it slowly improved. Now after about 3 months of 24/7 wear, it feels more normal than not to sleep locked up. One huge improvement for me was moving up a size for the base ring. The smaller size was very comfortable during the day but very painful at night. Moving up helped considerably with nocturnal erections.

My first cage had a tough 1 3/4 base ring but my next one has a 2" base ring and is no problem; I actually love the nocturnal erections. Before being locked up, I always woke up horny—that's what started me in caging originally since it led to online porn and J/O sessions almost every morning. Now my wife/KH gets the attention that I was selfishly giving myself.

You can read my post from when I first started back in March 2013. Since Mrs. Cage refused to remove it, I had no choice. But she didn't like seeing me in pain at night. After a few nights, all was good. Now once in awhile it wakes me up, but I just smile and say, "It's good to be caged!" The larger ring is a good idea. But when you get used to a more snug fit, it is better. You'll be fine, just toughen up!

Personally, sleeping for has never been comfortable. With over 14 months in this, I still wake up at least 3x per night with an erection. It takes forever to go limp. But I struggle through it and it works. Being released from it at night is not an option.

well yes the night time erection does take some time to go away even now once in whlie i get erect but it is rare that it does happen

member_2ef7412678 2 Sept 2026 #19

That is something I have failed to master even with a custom device. It is much more tolerable with a custom device but I still wake up 2 to 3 times and end up taking it off. I like the idea of keeping the key out of reach though.

I posted here in August about wearing Briefs rather than boxers as this keeps everything closer to the body. Since that time i have absolutely no problem sleeping in any boxer or brief style and these days i dont get woken at all even if i have an erection but im in a steel device now as my CB6ks broke. Yet just looking at my wife will start my blood flowing;)

member_4591ac481a 3 Sept 2026 #21

It takes time and some good lube, but gets better with time. Morning wood at times still wakes me up.

member_1f25a48511 4 Sept 2026 #22

I put a small pillow inbetween my legs and sleep on my side. If I sleep on my back, no special requirements. I can even sleep on my side with no pillow now. If you are talking about erections. Only once did I wake up due to a night time erection. Had one painful one once in the morning. Other than that I have worn my CB about 300 or more times to bed so my body is used to it.

Although mu Carrara is one of the most heavy real stainless steel chastitybelts existing, I from the start had no problems witrh sleeping in it. One has to get used to sitting, walking, cycling while being belted, that takes some time, but sleeping is the most comfortable position/action to do in my belt.

I'm in the CB6000 right now, and morning erections are painful. I refuse to take it off at that time though since I have not much time to get used to it. I have poured cold water on in in the bathroom when it got unbearable. I'll be switching to a Jail Bird in a week or two, and from the 25th onward for a year the bolt cutters will be all I have left. The good news is in my case she wouldn't have any problem with me using them even if the only reason was that I got bored with wearing a cage. I am doing it for myself mostly, even though she enjoys it too.

member_991c0fe845 6 Sept 2026 #25

When I was wearing my smaller 45mm ring, I would wake up every couple of hours and be up fifteen minutes at a time. Wearing my 50mm ring, I rarely wake up, and if I do it is because I rolled in my sleep and need adjusted a little.

However it was also the first night I'd slept without underwear... I'm hoping that was the reason and will sleep in underwear again tonight with my fingers crossed!:-)

Guess I'm just very fortunate have had no problems sleeping in any of my cages, and I do move around in my sleep as I never wake up in the position I started in . I do have to adjust in the morning when I wake up, but no discomfort .
