fresh approach to a chastity gadget

I have crafted a chastity device that stands apart from the others I’ve encountered. It isn’t flawless, but the underlying concept seems promising. Made of steel, it is straightforward and modular.

I am wondering if I can connect with a manufacturer who spots an opportunity to produce this device and help me develop it further.

I'm not certain how many manufacturing professionals frequent these forums. You might need a solid prototype or at least a sketch to generate some interest.

I already have a solid model and can share a picture of it. However, there is the risk that someone might take my ideas.

You could try using a 3D printer for this.

But without displaying it, you will never find an investor or partner. And even if you have a patent, Chinese manufacturers are quite willing to overlook intellectual property and copy it.

There are plenty of websites offering 3D printing services. If you need beta-testers, I would be happy to help.

One quick point: the market for chastity devices is quite small. There aren't many people or companies out there eager to steal your idea. Your sales volume will likely be less than the cost of patenting the design.

As you can check yourself, some companies do hold patents for chastity devices, but it doesn't help much... their products are still copied by "smart" folks in China.

There are thousands of patents for chastity devices, most of which were never built. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, preventing male ejaculation was believed to ward off insanity and other dreaded diseases. I love some of those old devices... amazingly cruel. For a while, adolescent boys were actually locked into painful devices to prevent masturbation. As for the modern market goes, whether patented or not, chastity devices are not mass-market items. No one has gotten rich making them.

I have used the solid model for a few days and the benefits so far are: no sliding down, almost no push forward when erect. Very difficult to pull out and almost impossible to put back in. It has a slim design and is good to wear with tight pants.

Looks promising.

Comfortable? Easy to clean?

I have worn the device I made for a couple of weeks on and off. So far it's not bad. The archived discussion ( nude content) My partner says it looks appealing with the balls positioned sideways. The cage, however, is still work in progress. I've been in touch with osimon who would see if he could design a cage for 3D printing, but he had concerns about the strength of the base. In that case, it's going to be hybrid: steel base and plastic cage. We also discussed open versus closed cages and the pros and cons of each. Another point is the vulnerability of the balls. I let out a few "aaawws" while wearing it, so I am considering making a pair of caps instead. If anyone has suggestions for improvements, I'd like to hear them.

The longer I am in this game, the more I think that comfort and not interfering with daily life trump "security". Any ball capture device that isn't secured to a piercing will be escapable. Just my thought, but the best new device would allow you to do more things, like riding a bike, remain invisible under clothing, prevent erection, and be comfortable and easy to keep clean. I did some "erection" research. A few times when I woke up hard, I went into the bathroom and studied what happens to my cage. My Jail Bird does not move at all, nor does my scrotum slip through the base ring to accommodate the erection. What actually happens is that behind the base ring, erectile tissue gets firm and it appears as though the device has somehow moved forward and is "hanging" at the end of the erection. I now realize that isn't true. Apparently some of an erection's length comes from tissue located behind the base ring. Just an observation. I tested this theory by checking immediately after getting soft; if any scrotal tissue had slipped forward to permit erection, then I should be able to pull it back through the base ring. I couldn't. Any change took place without any part of my Jail Bird moving. Just for your information.
