Modifications to CB6000s.

Hi everyone, I have a question. Right now the CB6000s suit me well in terms of comfort, and since funds are tight, I’m not ready to buy new gear yet. However, given that we all know about that polycarbonate odor issue, has anyone tried drilling additional small holes around the unit to improve airflow without changing too much else? Would you say this is a viable approach? My plan would be to do it in a way that preserves the device’s structural soundness and doesn’t cause it to crack along the seams. What does everyone think?

I haven't tried it personally, but I've come across posts from others who have. Putting on my engineering hat for a moment, drilling holes will likely affect the structural integrity of the unit. If I were doing it, I'd drill small openings away from visible seams and ensure they are well-spaced apart. Also, while extra holes help with airflow, I'm not convinced they solve the smell problem as effectively as just maintaining good hygiene. Another tip: check eBay for decent quality clone models; that's where my journey began.

I've done it myself and the results are excellent. Just avoid cutting into the seams and don't make the holes too large. Use a low drill speed so you don't leave any painful burrs behind.

What specific benefits have you noticed from making this change?

The main advantage is that it makes cleaning much easier. The 6000 model tends to trap a lot of moisture inside, but drilling two holes on the top, flanking either side of the seam, keeps things significantly drier. My husband and I enjoy the sensory deprivation aspect of the 6000s. However, because the cock is almost fully enclosed, cleanliness can become an issue even though I typically don't go more than two days without a release (and not necessarily to orgasm). With this modification, you retain that sensory deprivation while improving hygiene. At four days post-release, I feel cleaner now than I used to at just two days. It shouldn't take more than about ten minutes. Yes, I plan to upgrade to steel eventually, but it has to be a model that provides coverage comparable to the 6000s.
