Hello everyone. I’m just starting out here and in the world of chastity. I’ve ordered my first piece, a CB6KS, which looks like a fairly typical choice for beginners. It’s expected to show up this week. The thing is, I haven’t told my wife yet; I wanted to get used to it on my own before bringing her into the loop. I have two main questions that stem from being a bit green and wanting to make sure I’m handling things correctly. First, I hit the gym multiple times each week and shower there. For those of you with devices attached, how do you manage showering alongside other men? Secondly (and this might sound silly), if I get into an accident or fall ill and need an ambulance, what’s the best way to explain wearing a device to the paramedics or hospital staff:o I know I’m new to all of this, but I really want to explore it. Pleasing my wife more would be wonderful—though I don’t expect her to jump on board immediately—but I’d like to try if she’s willing. Thanks for reading through and sharing your thoughts.

I work out at home, so I can’t help much with the first question. If you’re in serious enough trouble to need an ambulance, a chastity device on your cock is probably your least concern.:-) If they have to cut it off, they will. But if you’re awake, I imagine they’ll ask for the key first. As for winning over your wife, surprising her with the new gadget might not be the best approach.

You should probably look up some info on chastity (the 'kept for her' angle is good) and show it to your wife before mentioning it. You could tell her that it looks like something you two could have fun with, and that you’re open to trying it. If you steer clear of the more intense images when discussing it, she might be receptive. My wife and I see it as a game we can enjoy together, though we don’t do it constantly. Best wishes.

Thanks for the advice. I’ll search for some info first and bring it up during one of our cuddle moments:)

The gym question is a bit tricky, but common sense will see you through. First, find loose-fitting workout clothes. Second, choose a gym that has shower curtains. Third, keep a towel on at all times. Fourth, turn your back when changing. That should do the trick. If you dash through the locker room naked with your cock caged for everyone to see, shouting "my wife has me by the balls", it might raise some eyebrows. But then all the married men will nod and admit that their wives have them under control too; they just don’t enjoy it as much. :)

One reason we started this board was to discuss where the fantasy meets reality. The gym issue should be manageable with common sense and discretion. Like you, I used to wonder what would happen if I had an accident requiring medical help. That’s one of the reasons I carry an emergency key wrapped in security tape for easy access. But in a *really* serious emergency, you might not even be conscious. For those cases, you just have to trust that EMTs have seen worse. I’ve already prepared myself for possible exposure by being able to laugh it off and say, "Oh, my wife and I like to play kinky games to keep things spicy. At our age, it helps. Maybe next month it will be her turn." Or something along those lines.

I had a friend (who has since passed) who made chastity belts for Access Denied. He used to fly and do everything else with it on. If asked, he’d just say, "That's my chastity belt" and move along. Airport security rarely gave him any trouble. I don’t think the world cares all that much about hardware on a man’s penis.

To be fair, that was some years ago, before the TSA started confiscating nail clippers and nipple piercings.

Thanks everyone. The gym could still be a bit of an issue since there are no cubicles for changing or showering. However, although I’ve been happy enough to shower naked so far, some men wear their underwear in the showers, so maybe I should do the same too. I can then wrap a towel around me, pull down my wet pants, and put on clean ones without exposing myself. I planned to discuss it with my wife this weekend, but we have friends staying over, so I’ll need to wait for another good moment:) I'll update you all on how it goes. If you have other suggestions, I'm listening. Thanks again.

Former paramedic here. We’re busy thinking about keeping you alive rather than worrying about what’s on your body. If it gets in the way and you can’t help us remove it, we’ll cut it off. I’ve cut panties, bras, chastity devices, etc., right off men without a second thought. Just bag it up with their other personal items. So don't worry; we've seen it all in the back of the ambulance, and we don't care. Happyman1 CB6Ks wearer

You really captured the real-world dynamic of husband-wife relationships!;) It reminded me when a guy told me his wife has her own life, busy with work and other things, while he complained that they no longer had sex (he was in his early 40s). I was very tempted to suggest he try chastity, but we weren't quite confident enough...

For us, introducing chastity happened through stories. I would read my wife tales at bedtime and she loved them, so I showed her some devices. She laughed at the prices but then checked eBay, and shortly after we started playing with it. She seems to enjoy it quite a bit, though we kept things simple initially without any creepy elements.

Maybe the men at the gym shower in their underwear because they have devices on too:D When the time comes, I'll handle it carefully. As I said, there is no privacy at the gym—but I just need to be cautious. Our friends are gone now, so this week I hope to chat and bring up the subject. I like your idea, Lockedup24, of showing her stories, as well as Tom's mention of a specific website. I used to be a Paramedic too, happyman1, but I can honestly say I never came across any guy wearing a chastity device:D Ladies' panties and nylons yes, but not a cage! I'm enjoying reading your blogs about your experiences with chastity. When the time comes, maybe I can do the same. I currently handle most of the housework, shopping, kids, cleaning, and cooking without a device, but I'll surely find other things to occupy me:) Thanks again for all the comments. This forum is really helpful for new guys to gain wisdom from those with more experience in this area.

The patients were mostly worried about their panties if they were wearing them, especially if their wife didn't know. It's a bad way to tell your SO "I uh, wear women's underwear".

Having seen several replies from UK-based Paramedics, I have a question for you all:? . I'm not too worried about the gym since most of my training happens at home on rollers/turbo/home gym equipment. When it's icy or 98% outside, I just get on my bike!!! but I'll soon be back in the Locker ... anguage=en however mine is slightly different because I customized it to use my 8mm/0 gauge PA piercing with a second integrated lock, and there are posts here with pictures. Would you folks be able to get me out of the device in an emergency? I was involved in an air crash several years ago while wearing a CB6000 at the time (I hated that experience but it was my starting point/learning curve) which for some unknown reason, I took off before leaving home because I still had access to a key. To this day, I don't know why I did it as I've never felt the need to do it again. As an engineer, I could have simply snapped the brass tags on the integrated locks! But would paramedics choose to do that or just leave it up to A&E's discretion? I'm curious.

I'm also wondering if paramedics could remove a Jailbird using the security screw.

member_641b2ad8ff 6 Sept 2026 #20

I doubt they could unscrew it. They could cut the cage off though. My emergency key (a small screwdriver) is in a waterproof pill container on my key ring, so it can be easily removed if needed. The case has a tamper-evident seal. ... gency-key/

Having worked in an Emergency Room... there isn't much that will shock them. So don't worry. If you're locked and have an accident and are taken to the hospital, they will handle it professionally. One of the problems with wearing a chastity device is simply that you’re wearing a chastity device. It’s not common or usual, so there will be some who are shocked by it. I would do whatever you can to keep it hidden because I don't think it's right to expose others to it and put them in the position of seeing it. Just my simple views.

member_63772fa648 7 Sept 2026 #22

As a paramedic myself, we wouldn't need to remove a cage unless it was preventing us from providing necessary treatment. Therefore, we would wait until we got you to A&E and they would remove it if required.

> member_c2f9e5cb5d wrote:I'm also curious about whether paramedics could remove a Jailbird with the security screw. If it reached the point where we had to remove a device, we’d do so by whatever means necessary. A metal one would get cut, regardless of type. We carry tools, and if we don't have what we need, the fire engine that shows up will. The odds of coming across some guy in an accident wearing a device who needs it cut off are incredibly rare. Panties, however...
