CB6000s Spacer Adjustments

My wife has agreed to give this a go. Once I find the right fit, we’ll try it out for three months and see how things pan out. I’m quite excited about it.

Since she’s still on the fence, we didn’t want to blow too much cash, so I picked up a CB6000s. This is where I need your input. I suppose I need to test different ring sizes for a few days each to spot any issues or find the best fit. We started on Christmas Day with the largest ring and smallest spacer. Today I dropped down two ring sizes but used a larger spacer instead.

My question is, what exactly do spacers do? If I use the smallest one, it seems to sit close to my testicles. Is that right? But if I go for a bigger one, it appears to achieve similar results.

I imagine this is common knowledge here, so please bear with me if I sound clueless.

Based on my own experience and what others have said, a smaller spacer is usually preferable. It helps cut down on ball pain during morning erections and stops the balls from sliding out. So generally, aim for the smallest base ring you can manage with the smallest available spacer. Your mileage may vary though.

Correct, spacers let you adjust how far back the gap is between the ring and where the tube begins. They also make a tiny difference to your bulge in trousers, but comfort should be your main priority. The goal is to find the smallest spacer that feels comfortable without messing with bodily functions (aside from erections).

I also want to add that a good middle ground when transitioning to a smaller base ring is to temporarily switch to a larger spacer, then gradually work back down to the smallest one. So what you did makes sense in my opinion.

I stick with the smallest spacer because I found it works best. I also wear the second largest ring. The issue you might run into is that cheaper Chinese copies often have a ridge inside the ring, which tends to cause irritation. Just browse this forum and check out posts from people who bought those knockoffs. Unless you plan on wearing it only for short periods every few days, the authentic version will likely be more comfortable. I managed to wear mine around the clock for nearly a year. Recently though, the ring has caused some skin issues so I’ve had to take a break for a few weeks even with my real one. When I tried a knockoff instead, it irritated my scrotum, and the pegs and rings weren't made as well; eventually the ring snapped off and the cage split. However, if you just want to test it out temporarily, it’s fine. But if you end up liking it enough to buy the real thing later, you’ll have paid about $40 more than those who bought authentic from the start. You really can't judge a chastity device by its cheap copy. I own several knockoffs; while they look identical on the outside, their wear characteristics differ.

In the morning, my testicles looked more like a butterfly:D They stayed that shape. Later I tried the second largest ring with the small spacer too, and it was similar. Now I’m using the mid-size ring with the 3rd largest spacer. Today though, some skin from my shaft started poking through the vent holes and seems to have trapped fluid inside, much like a blister forms. My testicles look fine and haven’t discolored. So for now, I’ve removed the device to let the shaft skin heal back up normally. I plan to put it back on tomorrow. I’m not entirely sure what caused it—whether the spacer was too large or something else. Before this happened, a bit of skin would come through the vent holes but didn’t cause any real damage. So my plan is to put the mid-size ring back on in the morning with the short spacer. "Len51", you’re right that going for an original version long-term makes sense. Right now though, I don’t have £100 lying around to test whether it will work well for us. So it seemed smarter to spend £30 on a Chinese copy and give it a try. If after three months we decide we want to keep doing this (I hope so!), then we can invest in an original or even a metal one. The goal is 24/7 wear. Honestly, I already feel disappointed having taken it off; I really liked how it felt on me. Thanks again guys. You’re all magic. 8-)

It’s triggered by arousal; even though most of your penis is kept from erecting fully, the areas around the vent holes *do* expand a bit and can actually 'poke out' through those openings...which might cause some discomfort if you have a lock with sharp edges. Everything usually returns to normal once you’re completely flaccid again or after removing the cage for a while. It looks alarming at first, but it really isn’t an issue. I used to put **tape** over the holes for a bit, but after getting used to the sensation...and letting many months of wear dull down the sharp edges of the lock...I stopped bothering with the extra step. Some people have filled the holes with silicone caulking compound, but I prefer leaving them open so they can do their intended job—helping with air circulation and cleaning.

Thanks TwistedMister. Actually, I was already flaccid, so my shaft pokes through the vent holes naturally anyway. It just looked worse this time because of the smaller ring combined with a larger spacer. But I’m relieved to know it’s nothing serious. The fluid will probably disperse on its own. I wouldn’t want a blister-looking blemish on my shaft though:)

Sounds like you might be better off going with the standard size cage rather than the "S" model.

TwistedMister: I think the "S" length is actually correct because when my head reaches the end of the tube, there’s no problem—just like when I first put it in. However, once my penis goes flaccid, it shrinks back to just where the head-shaped section begins. That’s exactly when the skin pokes through. I put it back on last night with the second-to-largest ring and the smallest spacer, and everything seemed fine at first. But then it shrank again, so the skin is poking out once more, though not as much as before, and it doesn’t hurt anymore. There’s some discomfort later on from the base ring when I sit down. It feels like a piece of skin might be getting caught. Looking around this forum, it seems that’s pretty normal for copy CB6000s because their rings are flat rather than round, and they’re hollowed out instead of being solid. I’ll see how things go from here. I’m not sure if it’s possible to fill in the hollow part. Alternatively, I could buy an original base ring separately, but I don’t know for certain whether that would fit a copy CB6000s cage. Hopefully, it becomes comfortable enough over time so we can try this setup for our agreed three months. Then I’ll purchase an original CB6000s if needed. Thanks again.

Just to update you, Locked4her55, I’ve filled the slot as suggested. However, I used a hot glue gun instead of epoxy so far. So far, it’s working well. I’ll keep you posted so you can add this method to your collection of useful tips. ☺ Thanks again.

I just modified the gap on mine to about 1/8" total. I’m fairly confident I could go with zero gap and still be comfortable. Another advantage for me is that a smaller gap pushes everything forward more, which means my cage fills out correctly. It’s also pretty easy to modify:lol:

Can anyone tell me why I’m getting a burning sensation? It tends to happen during nighttime erections. Very occasionally it happens during the day as well. My CB6K is a copy, but I have filled in the groove on the base ring which stops pinching. However, I was just wondering about the cause of this burning feeling. Any ideas? It seems like quite a few people experience it?

Is the burning located on your scrotum? If so, that’s usually caused by having too little gap. I prefer a narrow gap myself, and to deal with the burning, I simply apply a bit of lotion before bed. Sometimes I forget, then I get reminded around 3 am:) It’s generally not severe; I just roll over and go back to sleep. Though it took some time to reach that point.

Hi Atone, yes the burning is definitely on my scrotum. I’ve decided to go with a larger size, so now I have the second largest base ring and the largest gap. This has helped tremendously. Last night I woke up a couple of times during nighttime erections but didn’t feel any burning. What lotion do you use?
