Front-Side Chafing or Burning?

Hello everyone! I’m a new user to chastity, currently working with a CB 6000s and trying to sort out sizing and comfort. After a few days of experimenting with different sizing combinations to help my (high/tight/grower) anatomy settle in, I discovered that I could manage a full day wearing the 2” base ring along with the maximum spacer size. However, I slipped out later that evening. Before trying to sleep for the first time, I switched to a tighter base ring, but woke up with numbness and had to remove it.
The next day, I kept the 2” base ring on but started adjusting the spacers downwards. The smallest spacer felt a bit uncomfortable, while the one just above it seemed fine. Deciding not to overdo it, I chose the second-largest spacer for sleeping, added a generous amount of lube (coconut oil this time; will switch to silicon next time), and managed my first complete night in the device.
That night wasn’t painful, though very intense—I felt like I was semi-erect almost constantly. When morning came, however, I noticed that the front part of my scrotum (where the cage presses against it) was raw, burning, and looked like it had a fluid-filled blister forming underneath.
I’ve now been out for two days; the skin is healing up but remains quite sensitive and mildly itchy. So…what’s next? When should I restart wearing it, and what’s the best strategy regarding sizing?
Quick rundown of my sizing findings:
- 2” base with max gap: Comfy, but prone to slipping out. Also loose enough for two fingers, which suggests it might be theoretically too big.
- 1 7/8” base: Seemed to cause nighttime numbness, though I’m open to trying it again.
- 1 3/4” base: Uncomfortable.
- 2” base with smallest gap: Uncomfortable.
- 2” base with second-smallest gap: Okay for a few hours during the day.
- 2” base with second-largest gap: Comfy, but caused burning and possible blistering overnight.
