I’m still relatively new to the chastity world. I picked up an affordable device (a roughly $20 knockoff) just to dip my toes in, without treating it as the ultimate verdict on what works for me. However, being a CB 6000 replica, I’ve noticed that I tend to heat up and sweat quite a bit inside it, which makes it pretty uncomfortable. It could be an issue with this specific knockoff model rather than my own body; I’m naturally very warm—I’ve literally sweated in rooms where friends were shivering. Another factor might be the fit: there seems to be about an inch of empty space not being filled by the cage, so I’m considering downsizing. My options are a bit confusing right now, but it looks like I’ll likely go for a smaller Holy Trainer or something similar.

So here are my questions for those with experience in this area:

  1. Does anyone else struggle with sweating while wearing a cage? What do you do to manage it? I’d prefer not having to take the device off too often just to clean myself, if possible. Is this purely personal because I heat up easily? Or will my body eventually get used to it?
  2. Since I enjoy water sports, I need to know which devices are suitable for situations where I might wet myself or have a similar accident (like when my KH makes me wear a diaper). Would something like the Holy Trainer still be okay in those cases?

The main challenge with any enclosed device, whether it's plastic or metal, is keeping the inside clean. Based on what you've described, I believe an inexpensive, open-structure stainless steel model would answer both of your concerns. You probably won't get a perfect custom fit without ordering one specifically made for you, but if you look around carefully, you can find something that comes very close to the dimensions you need.

I hadn't heard of "penis sweat" before, but why not? My wife is always cold like an ice box; if she ever feels normal, I think something must be wrong. So it's definitely possible to be too hot all the time. I switched to the Holy Trainer 2. What’s interesting about it is that the cage part gets softer as it heats up—just enough not to become too soft—which gives it more flex, and I like that. If you ask me, an open-cage device like the Jailbird from Mature Metal would be a good choice; that's what I did initially. At first, I hesitated because of the cost, but ended up spending even more on a series of chastity cages that weren't quite right for my needs. It probably would have been cheaper to buy it straight out from day one. If you're watching your budget, check . There are actually some decent Chinese-made open cage devices available for very little money. I own one myself; it's stainless steel and well-built for the price. However, the big issue is the hinged ring—it will rub you raw. They provide a small piece of rubber tubing to cover it, but then you end up getting rubbed by the two ends of that tubing instead. I spent around $500 before finally ordering the Jailbird. Could have saved quite a bit if I had ordered it at the beginning.

My experience is limited to the CB6000 and the Jailbird from . While the CB can be worn continuously (24/7, year-round) and kept clean during that time, I found it difficult to stay dry. Also felt like I needed to wash it in the shower after every urination. The Jailbird is easy enough to clean; you just need some shampoo for it. I still find myself applying petroleum jelly daily for comfort, but honestly, it's manageable even without extra lubrication. Regarding waterworks: some people can aim properly with the Jailbird, but I cannot. I still have to sit down to pee. However, your Keyholder could unlock you specifically when needed for waterworks, or did you mean something else?

I agree that a custom cage will likely save money in the long run. Even people who own the JB sometimes don't send it back for adjustments. It is quite rare for even a custom device to fit perfectly right from the start. I noticed Happily Caged lube their Jailbirds, which generally signals that the base ring might be too small. For $20, Mature Metal will resize the ring. So far, I have sent mine back three times: once to shorten the cage and twice to adjust the base ring size. On my first trip, I went from 1 3/4" down to 1 5/8", but that ended up irritating me. Now it is going back again, this time adjusting from 1 5/8" to 1 11/16". The 1 3/4" ring works fine for holding things in place, but not as securely as I'd like. The 1 5/8" did that job well but made me red and pinched. I'm hoping the additional 1/16" increase will do the trick.

Cheers Tame Lion. Regarding the lubricant, it isn't too tight at all; rather, the lube helps it glide more smoothly during movement from erections or other causes. Whether you use lube or not makes only a slight difference in comfort, though I find it feels better with it on. Maybe it's just a habit I picked up while using the CB? Either way, it seems quite comfortable. As for standing to urinate, I haven't had the chance yet and won't be able to for at least three months, possibly six. But you're absolutely correct about that aspect.

Currently I'm wearing a wet diaper along with my Holy Trainer V2. I've had the trainer on since December 30th for continuous use. I usually sleep in diapers at night, and sometimes keep them on all day during off-days without any issues. The comfort level is high with very few problems. Naturally, there will be occasional discomfort since it's an unnatural object attached to a body part that changes size constantly.
