Does anyone with the HT2 Clear model find it quite rigid, looking like hard plastic (much like a CBx) instead of bio-resin? I have an HT2 Clear standard tube and ring right now, and both parts are stiff and hard (no pun intended… ). However, I also own an HT2 Black short tube and ring, and those pieces feel very flexible when heated. The materials seem entirely distinct even though they came from the same trusted retailer and aren’t cheap imitations. When I reached out to them about this, they said it was new info for them; usually, the Clear is considered more pliable while Black is less so. Since my clear tube and ring were bought months apart, I don’t think it’s a batch issue or similar problem. I’m not complaining at all—they both feel great—it’s just that I’m curious. Has anyone else experienced this?
Based on what I'd read, the clear version was expected to be softer than the colored variants. That's exactly why I purchased a white one. Mine offers some flexibility and becomes even softer in hot water. I had heard that body heat could make the clear get too soft, but perhaps that has been addressed since then.
Yes, that's what I'd read as well—that the clear should be the "softest" of all the colors. But this one feels more like a CBx where my black model is very pliable when warm. The texture differs too; mine has almost a rubbery tackiness while the clear feels more acrylic-like. Strange. In fact, I can spot tiny bubbles in the material in several spots, just like you'd see with acrylic.
