I managed to reach my first orgasm after 23 days, though it was also the worst night’s sleep I’ve had in that same period. (Still feels like a trade-off worth making as I lie here at 3:00 a.m.)
Sleep issues have been part of my life for years. We don’t often use CDs while we’re winding down; instead, we find that being OD actually improves my rest, contrary to what some others report. It might take a few days to settle in, but I seem to get better sleep when orgasms are kept at bay. Occasionally, MB helps me drift off, although only for brief stretches.
Has anyone else noticed something similar?
I've received medical treatment for insomnia ever since returning from Vietnam in 1971. Even with sleeping pills, I typically stay awake until the early hours of 2-4 a.m., unable to quiet my mind. My wife used to give me orgasms more often than she liked, hoping it would help me sleep. It helped sometimes, but most days it didn't. I've always slept while locked up, which helps me fall asleep faster. When unlocked, I find myself thinking about masturbating and wrestling with the urge until dawn. Now that I'm not constantly on edge, those thoughts have faded completely. The lack of human contact also tends to make my penis more sensitive to teasing. Lately, I go 3-4 months without an orgasm, and even less recently, without an erection. That makes staying unlocked at night a bit tricky.:)
