Before purchasing one of the popular custom metal cages, I am looking into more affordable choices to see which size, fit, and features suit me best. My initial device was the Chinese A080. It works okay, though it might be ever so slightly small for my build, causing some pinching. Additionally, the hinged ring feels like a poor design choice. A few weeks later, I acquired a Small Holy Trainer V2. This one has been very comfortable and discreet, making it great for physical activities. Its main downside is that cleaning or washing myself requires unlocking it. Despite this, the HT is definitely keeping me, though long-term I expect to use it mainly for travel (to get through airport security) or during periods of high activity if a comfortable metal cage isn’t available. While browsing eBay and DHGATE for other options, I came across the Chinese “Latest Stainless Steel Bondage Male Chastity Urethral Stretching Trap device 158”. … 1154823390 I hadn’t seen this one before and couldn’t find any reviews. It appeared to be a bit larger than the A080 and quite open, which helps with cleaning. I ordered it, and it arrived today. After giving it a good clean with antibacterial soap, I put it on right away. So far (2 hours of wear), so good (comfortable, no pinching at all). It is indeed wider and longer than the A080, but not by much. I ordered both extra small (40) and large (50mm) rings because I wasn’t familiar with solid metal ring sizes. The standard 45mm ring has worked fine so far. Reading some forum discussions about sizing down later on, perhaps the smaller ring will come in handy eventually. Not much else to report right now, but please feel free to ask any questions! edit: fixed a spelling mistake
With 173 views and zero comments, I wonder what that implies... Anyway, here is a quick update. I have been testing the new cage for about a week. I started with one night on, then took it off for several hours afterward. Afterward, I wore it continuously for two days and nights without too many issues. No chafing or pinching at all. It has now been worn for four consecutive days and nights, and it seems suitable for long-term use. It is easy to clean in the shower without needing to unlock, and while the fit isn't as perfect as what I might expect from a custom-made device, it is perfectly acceptable. I probably didn't need to order both the small and large rings since the medium one fits perfectly. The only drawback: nocturnal erections have returned with force. I had hoped they would disappear while wearing the HT, but that hasn't happened. I believe metal devices (particularly those with non-anatomical rings) are less forgiving, so it may take some more time for my N.E.s to subside again.
Are you circumcised or uncircumcised? How easy is it to urinate in this design compared to the other ones you've worn? Also, how does cleaning compare for this one versus the others?
This looks very similar to the Bon4M.
@GoddessRhea: I am circumcised. Urination is very easy, even when standing up. No mess at all. Cleaning is a breeze. Because of the open design, including the front area, I can clean both the device and myself easily while showering. Drying off afterward is also straightforward using a microfiber towel. Actually, once you get used to it, there isn't really a physical need to take it off;-) @Tame Lion: I did some more research, and I believe this model is essentially a clone of an older MaleChastityNow design called the Tool Trap. However, the original Tool Trap is no longer available.
If that material really is stainless steel, it would be a great replacement for my cheap Chinese jailbird—the chrome model which tends to rust. If it performs well at this price point, it seems like an excellent item to try out. Hopefully Amazon stocks it as well.
I found the same device on eBay US. ... 4d2902d71c It is very likely from the same seller. Have you confirmed that it actually is stainless steel?
I am not a metallurgist:D. How can I tell if it truly is stainless steel?
Those that are S/S state that categorically in their product info. If the listing doesn't explicitly say it is genuine S/S, it probably isn't!! d

Thank you for your previous answers. I was also wondering if the cage stays down pretty well? By that, I mean can it be lifted away from your balls quite easily, and could you possibly pull your penis out? Or is it held in place fairly securely without wobbling around too much? I know anyone determined enough can pull their penis out of any device. I am just wondering if it can be pulled out ridiculously easy.
@GoddessRhea (love the name by the way): It is a pretty substantial cage and sits quite stable. It isn't really easy to lift it away from the testicles. When I first got it, I tried for a few minutes to get out (without using the key of course) but failed. I guess that in the shower with lots of soapy water it could be done, but it is certainly not one of the easiest trapped-ball devices to escape from!

Magnets will not stick to quality stainless, and there would be no need to chrome plate or paint quality stainless. So, if the device appears to be just polished metal and is rust resistant, it is probably stainless.

You are quite correct. My cheap Chinese jailbird is chrome plated. There are many sellers offering this device, and while some correctly identify their product as chrome-plated, others claim it is stainless steel yet I can see in their photos defects in the finish where rust has started on mine.
Thank you for all the information you have given me, and thank you for the compliment on my name.
I made a small modification to my new cage. The included padlock is quite flimsy. By the way, it is not the ubiquitous Chinese WolfDog brand lock, but a "ColdDoor" lock. I think the name fits this context well, although I suppose that might be unintentional.:D I wanted to use my ABUS Titalium padlock, partly because it is more robust and made from a lightweight aluminium alloy, but also because I was worried the Chinese lock would rust and get stuck after some time. However, the shackle diameter of the ABUS was slightly too large for the hole in the locking post. I used a 4.5 mm steel drill to widen the opening, and now it fits perfectly.
After wearing this cage for nearly three months, I have replaced it with a custom steel one. Once I got used to it, I wore the cage almost constantly 24/7, generally only having my GF/KH unlock me occasionally for play and teasing. The longest period without any unlocking was three weeks straight. During this time, I never experienced major discomfort. No rashes, no pain, no pinching. It is very easy to clean, and peeing while wearing it is not a problem at all. Of course, as expected, there are some downsides: -It is quite heavy, so you always feel its presence. My new custom device weighs about 40% less. -I had to modify it slightly to make it compatible with a high-quality padlock. -Although it fits me well enough, it isn't the same as having a truly custom fit. I hope this post might prove useful for those starting out in chastity and/or not willing to spend too much. (It can be an expensive hobby...)
Sears sells a nice brass Master Lock that works quite well. The shackle seems to be stainless—it hasn't rusted at all in the couple of months I've used it. They are about $7 for two pairs. I did have to open up the hole in the pin slightly, but since it slides in sideways, it doesn't rattle around too much. I plan on smoothing out the corners just a bit with fine sandpaper, which seems to be necessary for any lock I've encountered. I was buying the locks and the guy at the register said, "Locking up some valuables, are we?" As we walked away, my wife commented, "If he only knew...."
