Cleaning the Holy Trainer Effectively

Is there a reliable way to properly wash a Holy Trainer? I’ve experimented with several approaches, like adding some soap in the shower and rinsing it out well, as well as soaking it in a cup of soapy water before putting it back on and moving around… followed by rinsing. I want to stay locked for longer stretches but worry about general cleanliness and making sure all the soap is completely washed away.

After using one for a while, I'd say you really can't clean either the HT2 or yourself properly without taking it off! That's basically why MsM bought a Contender S/S cage that allows keeping things tidy without removal. d

I can fully support what slave d mentions. For me, this is the primary downside of the HT2.

I agree; that's likely its biggest flaw. Otherwise, I love it. During the week right now, I do my best to clean it in the shower and also soak it in soapy water, sloshing it around before rinsing as thoroughly as possible. This should hold up until I can take it off for a deep cleaning, probably about once a week. It works well for me since I'm not really doing continuous "long term" wear without breaks yet, but when that time does come, I expect I'll need to switch to something like a jailbird.
