Comparing the Steelworxx Steelheart to the Holy Trainer V2 Short

Hi everyone, I want to move up from my current Holy Trainer V2 Short to a steel model. I really like fully enclosed devices, so rather than something open like the Jailbird or similar options, I’m leaning towards the Steelworxx Steelheart.

At present, I have both the standard and short versions of the Holy Trainer, plus 40mm and 36mm baserings. Personally, I think a short tube paired with a 40mm ring hits the sweet spot for me.

I’d love some feedback on sizing, cleanliness, how well it hides under clothes, etc…

My goal is to get the Steelheart sized similarly to my HT Short because that gives me the best mix of comfort and tightness while remaining discreet enough not to draw attention. I’ll probably opt for the integrated lock feature instead of using a padlock. The HT has this built-in option which I really enjoy.

Since I plan on wearing it part-time initially, hygiene isn’t my biggest concern right now, but any tips are welcome.

Also, I know steel adds weight compared to plastic; has anyone found that heavy or bothersome?

The Steelworxx Steelheart is a lovely piece that feels quite restrictive. It's somewhat disorienting not being able to see inside the cage at all. My own setup has a 65mm long tube with a 32mm diameter and sits on a 38 mm base ring. I tend to prefer designs that are more open, which is why I don't wear my steel one anymore. The weight wasn't problematic for me; though fit matters. It actually felt good in use. In fact, I find the HT too light for what I like. The extra heft of steel is a plus in my view. The tube shape creates natural lines under trousers. Hygiene bothers me with both types of devices. What size are you considering based on your HT experience?

Thanks for the perspective. Regarding dimensions, it's tricky because the length measurement method differs between the HT and the Steelheart. I understand that they measure the Steelheart from the rear of the base ring to the tip along the curve when assembled. I need to try measuring my HT using that same curved approach to compare accurately. The HT I'm wearing now is said to have an inside diameter (ID) of 34mm, while my standard tube is 35mm. I prefer a smaller ID, so something around 34mm would suit me well. Currently, I wear a 40mm base ring which feels very comfortable. I also own a 36mm one; it works but can get tight over time, making a 38 to 40mm range ideal. These are anatomical rings, so their shape might affect things differently than standard measurements. In the past, I wore a CB6000s comfortably and could handle its smallest ring size, although that was ages ago. I think the steel weight will be good for me too; I enjoy the sensation of something heavier. I also prefer fully enclosed devices where looking at or touching my penis is impossible. Having always used enclosed types makes them my preference. My current HT tube is blacked out, so visibility is already limited. Hygiene should be manageable since I won't wear it 24/7 constantly. I've kept my current device clean for up to two weeks of continuous use.

I went ahead and measured my HT2 Short trying to follow that same curved method through the center of the tube to the back side of the base ring. The result was between 70 - 72mm. With the entire assembly resting on the base ring, I got a straight vertical measurement of about 65mm. I haven't measured my Standard Tube setup yet though. Hope this helps clarify things.

Thanks, that clarifies it. I'll definitely go with the short version, though perhaps something even shorter might appeal to me; either way, it's close enough to my modified Looker 02. The HT would serve well as an alternative device if needed (it would have been handy right now since my Looker 02 is being worked on - and having a different option for staying chaste is nice).
