Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about chastity for several months and am trying to find an answer before I purchase one and commit. First thing you need to know is that I had a difficult childhood; because of my parents, I refuse to let anyone control me, and I have no desire to give this up.
About a year ago, I started the no fap challenge (abstaining from masturbation). During that time, I liked the person I became more than who I was before, but I can’t break past the one-month mark. It takes about four months for me to work myself up to starting again.
My issue is this: I take on the challenge because it makes me a better leader, keeps my thoughts less perverted, and boosts my confidence while improving how I connect with others among other benefits. I want to try chastity to force myself into being that person, but I don’t want to become submissive. My fear might stem from all the porn and erotic fantasies I’ve seen while researching; I also heard it causes your balls to shrink, which could affect testosterone levels.
So my question is: can I lock myself in a device for chastity and still maintain a leadership role, or will it mess with my biology and make me submissive?
Thanks for listening to me ramble on.
Male Chastity is really just a game. If you are self-locking, I assume you create and enforce the rules yourself. It can be whatever you want it to be, and it won't force you into becoming something specific. Not sure what you mean by "mess with my biology," but your behavior will change in that you'll have to deal with attempted erections while wearing the device, likely sit down to urinate, and handle the daily ritual of device wear (cleaning, hygiene, etc.). One thing you mentioned is correct; I think most would agree. When kept chaste, I like who I become as a better spouse to my wife. She enjoys it too. Maybe that's biology at work.
Thanks for the reply, wishful4. When I say biology, when I was researching whether to do the no fap challenge, I learned that masturbation uses different parts of your brain compared to having sex. This alters things in your brain by lowering endorphins and serotonin; it can also damage receptors. The no fap challenge is supposed to help balance all this out and repair those receptors. Also, I've heard that Chastity causes your balls to shrink. I found this while researching devices, noting they are responsible for creating testosterone, so my concern is whether it will decrease my testosterone levels as well. Additionally, I have also heard they grow back in chastity as they become more full.

Funny, I've had the exact opposite experience.;) > I want to try Chastity to force myself into being that person, but I don't want to become submissive. If you are in control of the key, then you aren't in a position where someone else has leverage and compels you to submit to their will. > My fear might stem from all the porn and erotic fantasies I've seen... There's plenty of that stuff floating around. Merely locking your junk in a cage isn't going to turn you into a whimpering, dick-sucking little fairy...unless that's what you want to be and you're just using the cage as an excuse. Of course, I'd kind of have to wonder about anyone whose critical-thinking skills would permit them to give any credence whatsoever to that idea. Part of being a 'leader' is being able to enact discipline over your own thoughts and actions. If you can't do it for yourself, it isn't likely you will be able to lead those attempting to follow, and no amount of locking your dick in a cage is going to help with that. > I heard it causes your balls to shrink which could affect testosterone levels. You must've been hanging around the Chastity Mansion. No, it isn't going to shrink your balls. To do that, you would have to wear it so tight that you are in excruciating pain. Unless you are a complete numb-nuts, you wouldn't be able to tolerate that level of discomfort for the length of time necessary to accomplish true shrinking, especially given your previously admitted lack of self-discipline. To shrink your balls significantly, you'd need some baling-wire and pliers or heavy-duty rubber bands, which I understand have been used as techniques for animal castration. > So my question is: can I lock myself in a device for chastity and still maintain a leadership role, or will it mess with my biology and make me submissive? Submission and leadership have little to do with biology and balls (or the lack thereof). If that were true, there would be no effective female leaders, which we know isn't the case. Being a 'leader' involves mind—mental fortitude, will, self-discipline, and decisiveness—and only in the roughest sense does biology play a part, in that brain development supports appropriate cognitive function. You don't have anything to worry about.
