Alright, after our initial trial with that cheap knockoff from Amazon (check my Hello World post), we picked up a genuine CB6000 from Keptforher. I highly recommend the shop; shipping was quick and the whole experience was pleasant. It got here on Thursday. We started out using the largest ring paired with the biggest spacer. It felt incredibly comfortable, maybe even too much so. During the day, I barely noticed it. The issue arose in the morning when the device slipped off. So, I switched to a smaller spacer since there was no way I could drop down another ring size. Saturday morning brought the same result. Eventually, I did manage to go down a ring size (who would have guessed?) and bumped back up to the largest spacer. Everything seemed fine until about an hour ago.
I had my first ‘Session’ with the wife. She carried the key into bed, but I attended to her needs before we cuddled up. She didn’t volunteer to unlock me, though she mentioned we needed to discuss it once we got dressed again. We did talk. She’s puzzled by why I want this setup. Yes, yes, communication is important and we do communicate, yet I still struggle with the ‘why’. I love cumming, I enjoy sex (the orgasm aspect), but I also cherish that euphoric feeling of denial. This whole journey has been a total mind bender! We really like how it changes my behavior while locked up, and I’m fully content just pleasing her, but explaining it feels difficult? Does anyone else feel the same?
Apologies for rambling. Back to the main issue. After everything concluded, I was suffering in the cage. It hurt quite a bit, specifically under the scrotum. Is this typical? Now that things have calmed down, it seems okay. Plus, I’ve had erections throughout the day without trouble. The pain really peaked right after our ‘session’. Is that normal? Maybe prolonged erection pressure? I’m not sure. I’d rather avoid going back to the larger ring just because my balls might pop out in the morning. Should I try a shorter spacer instead?
Oh, one more thing! With these CBs, they come with pin components. Then there is this other piece that sits over the middle pin. What does it do? I used it initially but removed it later. Is that what we call the spacer, or are the pins considered spacers? My head is spinning.
So many questions! Sorry for the mixed-up post. Once I start typing, I can’t stop. I’ll save my other queries for a separate update later on. tldr: Loving this new lifestyle. The best part is how it has brought us closer together. We had a great marriage before, but this has elevated it to perfection.

I would argue that is nearly the core premise of this board. The paradox is indeed tricky to articulate. I believe most everyone wrestles with that. > member_3deaf83d87 wrote: After everything concluded, I was suffering in the cage. It hurt quite a bit, specifically under the scrotum. Is this typical? Personally, I have a CB and I feel discomfort at the 6 o'clock position as well. I've noticed many others reporting similar issues. If you are only experiencing this after tease and denial, your situation isn't too bad in that regard. In my opinion, the spacer won't make much difference there. The center post is the locking pin with a hole for the lock on the CB. The hollow tube surrounding the locking pin is actually the spacer itself. They can be combined in various ways, including using just a locking pin without a spacer for a very small or 'no' gap, though that combination isn't recommended by the manufacturer. I have tried it as others have. If you can prevent testicle escape while using both a spacer and ring combo, I think that is a superior approach for longer wear. The available custom metal devices offer more comfort and restriction. When sized properly, they completely deny erection and are far less prone to the issues you describe. My personal experience has been that the CB, while very versatile, is somewhat uncomfortable in general across any combination I have tried. The width of the ring itself and its shape don't suit me well, so if one positions it high and tight—which is fairly common—it helps.
Thanks for the reply. I'm not using a spacer currently, but I am using the longest pin, so I have a decent gap. I really want to get a custom metal one, but regarding price, it will have to wait. I'll try adding a spacer. I assume it also adds protection (for lack of a better term) to the locking pin and that's why the manufacturer recommends it? Another off-topic question: Does every post we make require approval from a mod first, or is that just for new users in the beginning?
Scratch my last question. Ironically, that post was actually the first one I made that went through without needing mod permission, lol.

Maybe prolonged erection pressure? Depending on the ring size and just how 'excited' you get, this is not an unusual occurrence. When locking a part of your anatomy that changes in size into a hard, unyielding device, security and comfort can sometimes conflict...especially for us 'growers' rather than 'show-ers'. I am fairly decently sized when fully aroused (a hair over 6"), not a porn star by any stretch but big enough to be useful (unless the lady is used to someone like Long Dong Silver). However, I look quite puny when flaccid. So, anything small enough to fit and stay on while unaroused can cause comfort issues when aroused. Arousal isn't an 'either/or' state; it's a range. One can be mildly aroused, really aroused, or "I feel like poking a hole in a brick wall." Under normal conditions, this is just interesting...but when locked into a device that doesn't stretch with you, the difference becomes more apparent, sometimes painfully so. It shows up most during uncontrolled nocturnal erections. When awake, we can often (though not always) control our arousal levels, but while asleep they come on without warning until it's too much and wakes us up. However, when actively involved in sexual activity, one can become extremely aroused. Depending on ring size, this can be quite uncomfortable. For me, the discomfort isn't entirely bad news. I'm somewhat masochistic; knowing that arousal might bring some pressure actually boosts my excitement. Being uncomfortably aroused and confined while providing pleasure is a turn-on for me. (There are other scenarios where pain from arousal feels erotic to me, but they fall outside your question's scope.) So, in short, your experience is normal. It can be managed by changing the main ring size, though it might become too loose when not aroused. Over time you may get used to the discomfort and tolerate it better...you might even come to like it.
