It’s a relief to have found this group, and I’m eager to join in the conversations. I am a married man over forty with a stunning, increasingly adventurous wife. We raise two kids together, so like many of you, our time is often swallowed up by jobs and parenting duties. It can be quite stressful and wear on us. My spouse and I have spent years exploring chastity together. About a decade ago, I bought my first cage, the CB2000. Luckily, gear has advanced significantly since then. Right now we are using the Holy Trainer Short model; it feels much better than both the original CB2000 and even the CB6000S. We’ve recently faced some tough times in our relationship. With years of intermittent experience holding keys and wearing cages behind us, we know well what challenges come with chastity as well as its perks. Last night, after debating whether to recommit to this lifestyle to help reconnect and stabilize (and perhaps save the marriage), I finally gave her the key. To prepare for this moment, I’ve been denying myself and self-locking for two weeks now to get used to wearing a lock. For us, it’s never just play-acting. We grasp both the physical and mental aspects of this journey and are determined to see it through together with patience, humor…and seriousness. My wife is gentle, affectionate, witty, and cheerful…but she becomes quite strict and demanding when holding the key…which isn’t a bad thing though it can get tough sometimes. I hope to meet some like-minded people here who truly understand what it feels like to be locked for three, four, five, or six weeks at a time and who can provide support and encouragement. The web is crowded with opinions from those who haven’t really lived chastity within a caring partnership, so I appreciate having this community. Thanks.

Your experiences resonate with me too. In my view, even though I’ve spent weeks locked and denied before, real life always seems to interrupt; something comes up and chastity gets pushed aside for a bit. Hopefully that won’t be your experience—you can keep going without interruption. I have one more piece of advice about the device itself. Once I wore an HTv2 for six weeks straight, but it ended with the plastic wearing down around the lock area enough to change the gap size; eventually one day my glans slipped through there was no fixing that device again. Also, I needed permission to take the cage off every few days just to wash it properly. I never quite managed a thorough clean inside without removing it completely, which led to smells building up. In the end, I switched to custom stainless steel with an open bar design and wouldn’t go back to plastic for anything. Best wishes, please share how things progress.

I concur with locked4now on every point. To start with, don't underestimate how real life can interrupt your routine. Secondly, regarding the device. I own four cages total—two plastic and two stainless steel. The metal ones are extremely robust and durable; they should last practically forever without wearing out or breaking. Plus, it is the only one among my collection that I can clean thoroughly to my satisfaction while still wearing it.

The metal has weight though—does that affect you? Or does the heaviness actually add comfort compared to plastic or silicone models?

Anyway, maybe this won't happen to you and you can keeping going on and on. > My only other advice would be regarding the device itself. I wore a HTv2 for 6 weeks once, but it ended with the plastic getting worn enough around the lock that the gap changed and one day I slipped a ball through. After that there was no way to make this device work. I’ve never had that issue, even though I stay locked continuously for several weeks at a time. Perhaps your unit has a manufacturing defect. Some batches of the clear model specifically had issues with the locking mechanism. > member_2ac866846d wrote:I also had to be allowed to remove the device every few days for cleaning. I could never figure out a way to fully clean well enough to prevent odors. I eventually went to custom stainless steel with open bar design and will never go with anything plastic again. Yes, if you want to give yourself a deep clean without removing it entirely, you need to pull the tube (or slide your member back into it for speed). There isn't really another option unless you spend time in long baths...

I use the HTv2 and clean with a foam swab mixed with liquid soap each morning while showering.
