How does Steelworxx manage their order process?

Okay, I’ve gone ahead and ordered a Looker 02. But right after that, Steelworxx sent out a notice saying they aren’t accepting new orders for the moment. Does anyone know how this usually goes with them? Do they keep a waiting list or reach out to people when their doors open again? Or is it just about timing your order correctly?

He's probably flooded with requests and struggling to keep up. I got my new device yesterday; I had placed the order back on March 6th. This is actually the fifth one I've bought from him. All of my past orders arrived within four or five weeks. He likely won't email you directly about reopening orders, so I'd suggest sending him a message to ask for an estimated date.

Since there's still time left, here are some suggestions to improve the security of your device. He can do almost any custom job you ask for, though sometimes it costs extra. First up is extending the urethral insert; this probably won't cost anything more. The length depends on what feels right for you. For an additional fee, you could add more bars to the cage. This leaves plenty of room for cleaning while keeping enough skin covered so it doesn't slip off. For maximum security, have him fully enclose the lock cylinder. With his current setup, the locking tab is accessible and can be bent open to release. If you go with these options, escaping becomes very difficult. By the way, his craftsmanship is excellent. As long as you get the right size, you'll love it.

My Custom Looker 03 took nine weeks to arrive. It arrived right when he had paused order acceptance, and it actually went back once because I needed it shortened (though I did the cutting and prep work myself). After sending it off for welding and polishing, it came back in about two weeks. The shorter design didn't quite suit me as it chafed on the underside near the PA lock, but that's my fault since I designed it. Instead of returning it again, I decided to spend money upgrading my workshop. I researched materials and options, which led to creating Titanium Chastiti. His workmanship is top-notch, just like mine.

It's been nine weeks as of yesterday and I still haven't received it.

Extending the insert feels like a bit of trial and error to me. I'm fairly confident that as long as it extends past the base ring, the security will be sufficient. Regarding the bars: when my device is this short in length (only 60mm total), I can't get out regardless of how much skin is exposed. Enclosing the lock does seem like a smart move though. Looking at photos now, I see you could reach in with a small screwdriver to flip that final locking piece over.

It's not quite that simple. It requires some force and will break the lock in the process. A screwdriver won't be enough because it takes too much effort, though pliers should work fine. I've done this myself when my key wasn't working.

I build my locks into all my devices so they are inaccessible, but even if it were accessible, you still cannot move the tab part of the lock without the key being inside:twisted:

I agree, but I also like knowing that escape isn't possible unless I want it to be. I think I'll add this feature to my next order.

To me, breaking the locking core or sawing through with a hacksaw are basically the same thing—it's mostly about time difference. Once I reach that point where things start breaking, I know it's game over.

The thought of using a hacksaw or power tool on the device while wearing it makes me cringe. I think I'd rather just accept that there's no way out without the key.
