Metal Chastity Cages and Devices

I’m considering purchasing a metal device because my previous cb-3000 broke, and I’d like to know what everyone thinks offers the best bang for your buck? Or perhaps just share which metal device is your personal favorite?

I tested numerous Chinese models and found them to be heavy, susceptible to rusting, and uncomfortable for extended wear. My MCN Contender is lightweight, made of stainless steel, and custom-fitted to my body. It's nearly perfect.

Agreed with Namron. I own a Mature Metal model but have read plenty of positive reviews about the Contender. Often knock-off versions are cheaper because they use plating. Once that plating wears off, rust sets in. Solid stainless steel offers the best value when you factor in cost. You can usually find these at retailers who specialize in chastity play and help with sizing. Since you've already tried a CB, you understand this. To ensure a proper fit, getting a custom device is necessary. Different companies use different measurement methods. Make sure to take your time measuring exactly as the manufacturer suggests.

I would also choose the MCN Contender. I've purchased several Chinese cages over time. Some are decent, with smooth welds and such. The steel quality is obvious right away. The Contender uses 316 Stainless Steel, whereas many other Chinese devices use duller, lower-grade materials. The Contender's light weight appeals to me. It doesn't hang heavily from its own mass like some cheaper alternatives do. I used to wear a CB6K and never felt as comfortable in it as I do when locked into stainless steel.

While I generally agree that a custom-made device is ideal for long-term wear, my experience with five Chinese steel cages purchased over the last two years has taught me exactly what I want and don't want regarding comfort. If you have the budget and time to experiment, I recommend picking up a few different styles so you can determine your preference: open versus closed, short versus normal length, rings versus bars, curved versus straight, etc. Eventually, I also purchased an MCN device, but having that drawer full of Chinese steel pieces helped me identify what truly suited my needs (and equally importantly, what didn't).

It really depends on which specific item you buy. The A080 I recently purchased is definitely stainless steel, as is the A081. Additionally, I picked up a similar style with an integrated lock that I'm fairly certain is 304 stainless steel based on the website description.

Thanks everyone for the advice. After reviewing all these recommendations and researching the contender myself, I believe it is the best choice for me! However, buying both a Contender and several inexpensive test devices to find my exact size might be too expensive. The NCM website mentions purchasing test rings for both base and cock sizes, but they don't specify where to buy them. So my question is: where can I get these at a reasonable price?

Mature Metal sells the sizing rings. Actually, if memory serves me right, Male Chastity Now is essentially just a reseller for Mature Metal, isn't it?

MCN is not a reseller. Hardware stores like Ace Hardware usually carry various sizes of rubber rings at very low prices.

If you plan to wear a test ring for just a day or two as a trial, I'd recommend metal or hard plastic rings. If it's more of a quick sizing check, rubber will work fine. The reason is that rubber is flexible and bends with your body shape, whereas metal/plastic remain rigid. Also, O-rings are typically thinner than metal ones, which can make a difference. I found the best source for metal rings in many sizes at hobby/craft stores (like Hobby Lobby) that sell macramé supplies. These cost slightly more than standard O-rings but not by much.

I used to be very fond of oval rings myself, but I eventually switched to round ones. It is a subtle difference. Sizing with a round ring will yield equivalent results. I'd recommend sticking with round for simplicity.

I've tried both shapes and prefer the round one. My only issue during long-term wear is pressure or irritation on the underside of my scrotum. It's a very minor problem with a round ring, but becomes a much larger issue with an oval ring.

This is my first post here, though I've been interested in and intrigued by chastity for a long time. My partner isn't naturally dominant, but she's getting into it. What I love about this belt is how clearly it makes it harder to get out compared to the HT2. Although I've worn that one for 4 weeks—it's well-designed and suitable for extended wear—the current belt means I cannot touch my penis under any circumstances, which is exactly what I'm striving for. I suppose I agree with the sentiment discussed earlier: experimentation and finding what works best for you is key. Now I am looking for a similar metal belt that can be custom-made to fit without costing an arm and a leg!
