Hi everyone,

I have a modified HTv2, but I’m not thrilled with the fit or how difficult it is to keep clean inside that closed tube.

I am considering designing and printing my own custom device (and might sell them if things go well), but first I want your thoughts since many of you know more about chastity than I do.

What design features matter most to you? Do you prefer an integrated lock, or something with a more open/closed structure? Is customization important?

Discreetness (is that even a word?) is key for me. The cage or tube should point downwards rather than sticking out. I really like the dickcage's approach: the tube passes back through what looks more like a cuff, covering more of the corpora cavernosa and corpus spongiosum when erect. Combined with that cuff, it stops erections from yanking the ring forward, which prevents pain as the scrotum and testicles get pulled. An integrated lock (like in my HTv2) looks clean and neat without sharp edges or angles sticking out. However, compared to a simple padlock my KH can easily manipulate, it is slightly less convenient for her to remove the cage. Good hygiene ease ('open design') is another big one. Both of those tube-style cages require removal for proper cleaning. I want the hygienic simplicity of a JB combined with the cuff and tube features of the dickcage. I'd be happy to beta test yours! Thanks for the input. I hadn't heard of the dickcage before, so those elements are definitely worth considering. I'm also exploring some design ideas that will allow for personalization. I can likely arrange a beta test for you, but only after the alpha version is complete;)

I personally own the htv2 and love it, except that its less open design makes cleaning a bit tricky.

Yeah, I plan to use the htv2 as my base concept. There are plenty of cool aspects we can explore regarding how a device is constructed. I believe having it more open is essential. Since I self-lock myself, I find it tempting every time I need to take it off. With a closed tube that happens quite often during cleaning, which is something I'd like to avoid.

The first super basic ring prototype has been sent off for 3D printing. Luckily there is a printer on my campus where I study, so this also serves as a test of their service and process while letting me try out my initial ring design. I'll post an update once it returns and I've tweaked the design. Is there anything else to keep in mind for the design before I proceed with the rest?

It came back super fast! Good news and bad news... The good part is it worked. The bad part is I messed up the scaling haha. The ring ended up with a smaller diameter than hoped, and was much smaller overall than expected. So back to the drawing board for now.

I forgot where you mentioned using that 3d printer... (Should just scroll up and re-read but I'm trying to post quickly before heading into work). If they have the technology for a 3d printer at your college, do they also have 3d scanners? You could have someone show you how it works. (I don't know about everyone else, but having another person demonstrate how to 3d scan my device would be crazy hot and humbling all at once). After scanning, you could use that as the base plan and modify the design from there? Two more additions I'd suggest for improving the hv2 (which is what I'm currently wearing): 1. A ball spreader / separator. 2. The ability to use something like the Guardian Extra with my Holy Trainer v2. (I just got one and love it. The day after we finished our longest lock-up yet—my KH has done 22 days—we are still 'playing' but think we're about to dive headfirst into chastity). The Guardian solved the turtling and twisting issues I had, making my short cage smaller, more secure, and snug fitting.

However, I'm not sure how helpful it will actually be. The scan would essentially provide only the exterior shape in a single body. So altering that might end up being more difficult than just starting from scratch. Plus, there's already a model of it online somewhere if I decide to go that route. Regarding your suggestions... what do you mean by 'ball spreader'? Do you mean something like a stretcher? Or separating them down the middle so each sits on its own side? I'm hoping my design will reduce the need for an extra anti-pullout tool, especially regarding turtling and misalignment. If it benefits the overall design, I'll likely look into making it compatible with that extra tool. But first things first—I gotta get the main design down haha.

As a separate update... I now have a solid sketch of the direction I'm taking. Now it's just about getting it into the computer and refining the ergonomics. Some interesting features (without giving too much away yet): - Hidden lock - no more bumpy locks sticking out - Ball-friendly ball trap design - hopefully eliminating ball burn with a more natural resting position - Open design - Customization options - also makes it easier to get a good fit without needing full custom work - Alignment security - keeps everything aligned and tight for easier urination

I knew about using 3D printing for homes and even weapons, but hadn't considered it for chastity. I really like the concept and will stick around to see how this develops. Thanks for sharing your progress and insights!

Bad news is that as the school year wraps up, academic workload is increasing. This likely means I won't have enough time to get a prototype printed locally here. However, I should be able to find someone to print it when I head home for summer. Good news: I'm steadily making progress on the 3D model despite my other classes and activities. Here’s an image of what the prototype looks like on screen so far. Image It's still very much a work in progress (and doesn't include all those cool features yet), but it should give you a sense of my vision. I plan to have this printed out next week just to check sizing and print quality. I'll share the results once it comes back.

A couple of tips: Make sure you program the edges with large radii breaks rather than chamfers. Use larger inside radius fillets where the sections join together. Don't forget raddii at the ends of the tube as well. You can see a pattern here: keeping rounded edges as large as possible will minimize chafing and pinching.

Thanks for the advice Tom! Most of the edges currently have a rounded profile (though it might be hard to tell from this 2d image). I'm still tweaking the design, but I just sent that version off for printing to ensure the sizing is correct. It's tricky judging size without a reference point.

I did get that last design printed at school, but the dimensions were slightly off and the print process left some rough edges, so it wasn't ideal for testing. Since then, I've been looking into a different ergonomic design based on penile cross-sectional anatomy (one of the more *interesting* things I've looked up). However, I was having trouble adding bars to the open areas. But today I finally had a breakthrough! After some fiddling, I got very good results as you can see below. It doesn't have rounded edges yet because it's getting late here, but those are easy enough to add later. Now I just need to add the bottom bars, the head, and the ball trap mechanism, and it should be ready for more testing. Not sure if I'll get it printed this summer since I don't have direct access to a 3D printer like I did at school, but I'll see if I can get a friend to do it at the university. Image

I'm back at school now so I can start prototyping again. I'm very close to a final design which I've kept under wraps for a while but decided to share with you guys first. Obviously, it's not completely finished because designing something anatomical that isn't just a tube is tricky, but we're getting there. Image I haven't tried it on yet, but the idea for the ring (and this is purely hypothetical and may or may not work) is that you slide one testicle at a time through the penis ring and down into the sackholder™. This should hopefully reduce most ball chafing while keeping things secure. Then the tube goes in place and the lock seals off the testicles to the bottom. There are other features designed to help keep the penis inside the tube as much as possible, but those details are still being worked out. What do you think?

I'm having a hard time visualizing where the balls sit in relation to the shaft because there doesn't seem to be a gap between the tube and ring. I think you do need that gap. It looks like you're aiming for something similar to what Steelwerks is doing: ... stity-cage as one example.

Yes, it is a somewhat unusual concept and kind of hard to describe without actual pictures. I have no idea if it will even work (hopefully the prototype gets done soon). Regarding what Schnoff mentioned, the design allows the balls and shaft not to go through the same hole, which should let them sit at more natural angles rather than being bundled together or sticking out like many devices do. The design is quite complicated, but assembly will be extremely simple and straightforward once all the pieces are ready. The angles on the shaft make it more open and hygienic, while the "ring" section has a penis ring, then a hidden lock below it, followed by the slot where the balls go. Again, it's all hypothetical at this stage, but that's what makes 3D printing so great. This is definitely not going to be the final design, but I think we're pretty close as long as it performs as hoped.

Do you have an anti-pullout device built in? If the balls go through a separate slot as you explain, I would expect it to be just as easy to pull out of the tube as putting them back in. MsM’s ld

Yes, that part of the design isn't quite finished yet (as you can tell by it lacking a top haha). You can see at the bottom of the tube there is a hook-like feature which will help prevent pullout. Obviously, it won't be entirely pullout-proof (since anything can be overcome with enough creativity), which is why I kept the ball trap as part of the device so that even if you do get it off, you can't remove it completely.
