Problems registering an account

I figured you might be interested to hear… while setting up my account last night, I saw that passwords can go as high as 100 characters. Since I use a password manager for everything online, I had it create one with 30 characters. But when I pasted it into the sign-up form, it got rejected with just a vague error message (didn’t say which part was wrong). I tried a few things without luck until I made a shorter password (10 chars). That worked. Maybe there was an invalid character in that first one, or maybe 30 characters is too long for the input boxes. It sort of looked like one box had fewer characters when I backspaced through them, but I can’t be certain. Also, using an iPhone if that’s relevant.

Reporting an 'error' that 'might' have been caused by incorrect entry on your side isn't very helpful. In the realm of computing, details and precision matter.
