Skin irritation, dimensions, cleanliness and being inconspicuous over the long haul

I have been wearing the Looker 02 for the last 10 days, but had to take it off today because I developed some skin irritation and redness where the underside of the cage meets my skin (likely one of the smaller bars is rubbing against me). (Is there anything I can do to stop that reddening?) The other issue is stealth. The Looker isn’t very long, but since my balls are pushed forward by the A-ring, the cage sometimes creates a bulge that people might notice while at work. Recently my princess has become more interested in things, so I’ll likely stay locked for much longer than before. Both problems need to be addressed. I’m considering getting a very short cage (essentially just the cap of the Looker 02 mounted directly onto the B-ring - about 25mm long) and maybe one size smaller (35mm instead of my current 38mm diameter, as there is quite a bit of extra space when flaccid). Without those small bars, this might even help prevent skin irritation. However, with such a closed and tight design, I’m not sure how easy it will be to keep things clean. I don’t want to have to take it off every day (with the urethral insert, I’d prefer to only remove it once a week). Choosing an open design like the Looker 01 would probably make hygiene easier, but then I might lose access to touch the “nice” areas at the tip of my p*nis - and those bars could irritate my skin again. Any ideas?

Since your cage isn't narrow enough, it allows the metal to rub against your penis. Guess what? The steel wins, leading to skin irritation. Instead of trying a shorter or longer cage, spend the time to get your measurements over a period and find one that is perfect for you. With extended wear time, your body will adjust and the irritation should stop. I prefer open designs because they are better for hygiene, so that might be the way to go, but ask for extra bars in areas where you have too much access. Of course, limited access cuts both ways since it also limits her ability to reach!:)

You may *feel* like it's impossible for anyone to *not* see it and know what you're wearing, but in reality, it is unlikely that people will notice or care...unless you end up completely nekkid or someone grabs and squeezes (and if that happens at work, you might have a more serious issue on your hands). I felt the same way when I wore the CB-3000, which I think is much larger, yet no one ever noticed anything...or if they did, they kept it to themselves. Personally, I believe there's an element of erotic humiliation in that 'feeling' that someone might see and *somehow* 'know', which can be a turn-on.

@Look02 - I wear an MM Jailbird, and there are two spots where I sometimes get skin irritation. If I sit for too long, the top of the base ring touches my stomach (I usually place a tiny piece of rubber insulation between my skin and the belt to prevent this). The other spot is exactly where you seem to be having trouble - at the base of the cage along my shaft. At night, I try to pull the slack of my skin down toward my testicles and apply lotion there (I use medicated Gold Bond cream, which has menthol for a tingle...) and it has stayed healthy for years since I learned these two things. As for the bulge, go shopping for slacks/jeans/shorts while wearing your belt. Make sure you have some room in the front, and no one who isn't desperately trying to look at your "package" will ever notice. My rise is "long," so it's an added challenge; I've only noticed someone once in 15 years of intermittent chastity belt wear... and that was a gay fellow who definitely looked at my package. And the result? He was just overly impressed.;)

@Namron: I'm wearing the Looker 02 with the urethral insert, so my p*nis can't move relative to the cage on the inside. No problem there. Going extremely short may require an open cage for hygiene - adding more bars to keep me from rubbing against the most sensitive parts could be a good idea. Using a bar-based cage instead of the cap-based one used in the Looker 02 might also allow for a custom fit. I also like the construction of this cheap dhgate-cage here ... 31726.html - the ring and cap seem very smooth with no edges at all. But hygiene would be difficult without unlocking frequently, and the center opening is too large for the urethral insert I'm currently using. @Aarkey: You're right; where the base of the cage contacts my shaft is exactly where I got this irritation. After washing, I use a hair-dryer to ensure no moisture remains. I've used various lubes or creams over time but always had these issues. The medicated Gold Bond cream isn't available here in Europe, and I'm concerned about using a cream containing a local anesthetic (pramoxine hydrochloride) regularly. According to ... oride.html one should not apply it to open wounds, damaged skin, or blisters and shouldn't use it for prolonged periods. Maybe someone could recommend a good cream for that easily irritated area available in Europe? Regarding stealth, it's not exactly just the bulge making me think; it's also the "peak" at its end. The urethral insert is fixed with a small nut on the head of the cage, and its opening is sealed with a tiny screw. It doesn't seem like much of a problem, but quite often these form an odd peak in the otherwise smooth surface of my jeans. When I stand in front of a seated audience (as sometimes required by my job), this might be slightly too distracting. A shorter cage could help as it wouldn't protrude as much.

Just to clarify, the Gold-Bond I use does NOT have any anesthetic in it. I definitely do NOT recommend using anything that will numb the area, especially if there's already soreness. I don't know if they have something like neosporin available in the EU, but that's what I use when my skin starts to get raw. And if my skin is raw, I take a break to let it heal fully. FYI - I haven't had that issue since getting my custom-made mature metal belt. The skin rawness used to occur with the CB# line. I have experienced irritation after prolonged wear and teasing with the MM cage, but my keyholders have always been merciful enough to give me a night or an evening out of the belt to let the skin breathe and heal before continuing.
