How Secure Are Non-Pierced Chastity Devices?

Hi everyone, I’ve been playing around with different chastity gadgets off and on for roughly three to four years now. The main issue I face is always security. I don’t have a piercing, and honestly, I’m not convinced you can get real security without one. From what I understand, standard devices let you pull your penis out of the cage quite easily while the ring stays around your testicles. It seems impossible that this wouldn’t apply to any male body shape. I’ve tested spikes (were they known as the rings of Kali?) and similar accessories, but in the end, they didn’t change much. Being 99% secure isn’t enough for me. It either keeps you in with no escape route, or it doesn’t. If you can slip out of them easily (in my case faster than unzipping my pants), then essentially any abstinence is just based on honor. The “device” becomes little more than a pricey accessory. So, is this like the emperor’s new clothes? Is everyone aware but ignoring it? Or does a truly secure device exist without piercing? I hope so because I find that concept very erotic.

I haven't used a urethral tube for security yet, but I suspect it would need to go much deeper into my body than is comfortable to truly prevent pulling out. I share your opinion that the device is just an expensive ornament unless you really cannot escape. In my view, nothing other than a piercing (PA or frenum) offers true security.

Exactly. That's how my wife feels too. We used a "regular" chastity cage for some time, but we switched to a piercing, and now it is completely secure. She loves it MUCH more. Still, remember that a pair of cutting pliers can remove you in just a few minutes (though naturally at the cost of several hundred dollars).

In technology, we don't talk about security without considering the threat model. The effort needed to stop a disgruntled employee is different in kind and scale from stopping a script kiddy trying to hack your computer or even a joint NSA/Mossad task force. Do you want it to be "transgression resistant" or just "transgression evident?" What is your specific threat model? If the risk is momentary lapses of judgment, most inexpensive devices are "tamper evident," and properly fitted HT2 (and likely Custom Ghost) units will be "tamper resistant." If you aren't trustworthy but want to save money, a piercing-based device should work. If you lack trustworthiness and don't mind the cost of either the device or transgression, then you can't expect much more than tamper evidence (which is hard enough): It is virtually impossible to pull out of a properly fitted Latowski or NeoSteel Arch; if you do manage it, getting back in will be difficult. Bolt cutters would remove you from either (as well as piercing devices), though they might damage the device/piercing. But that's secondary—if you are truly untrustworthy, you can just pick the lock. I have a $10 lock picking set bought at a nerd convention after a free class. I've never seen a small enough lock for CBs that cannot be easily picked or bumped. So unless you make lock picking visibly evident, even tamper evidence goes out the window. I believe the bottom line is: it IS all in your head. The unlocking method might be the emergency key (which hopefully you have access to), pulling out, bolt cutters, or pickings -- there are differences in cost, preparation, and time taken, but eventually, if you get horny enough, the opportunity will arise and be seized if you can't be trusted. So, figure out what your threat model really is and find a device/setup that fits it. Also, since the threat model is mental, consider a chastity device for your head: I urge you to read HerSubject's blog, going through the archives from past-to-present (not present-to-past as blogger/blogspot usually shows) -- his experience shows he cannot masturbate or disobey his wife despite trying some attempts (seems like he is in that "be careful what you wish for" territory, lucky guy ...). There is also this interesting thread which I urge you to read from start to finish: the archived discussion - it contains reports from MalePet, BeTheBall, antare and HerSubject about effectiveness and experiences. Semi-off-topic: I highly recommend taking a lock picking class. It shakes your worldview to realize how much undeserved credit we give locks personally and societally. I knew it wasn't hard before the class -- but being able after 30 minutes of instruction and two hours of practice to unlock many common locks in 3 minutes using $2 worth of metal that fits in my wallet changed my perspective (the instructor took about 5 seconds per lock .. I only took 3 minutes because I was inexperienced). If you take such a class, check the laws regarding lock picking in your state -- some states make it illegal to carry lock picking tools without being a licensed locksmith; and everywhere, if arrested for something while carrying those tools, you are presumed guilty regardless of whether owning them is legal.

The "Her Subject" blog seemed reasonable at first, but then became too fantastic for me to accept. From what I've heard, hypnosis only works if you are willing, and the last dozen or so posts seem to contradict that. I'll admit it was a bit arousing though.

Responses can be as unique as fingerprints. For me personally, I respond well when I don’t oppose it, such as with neutral or conflicted ideas, or secret wishes. For example, I hate being told exactly when to sleep but also want to respect my wife’s wish. Put me under hypnosis and tell me to drive to the store for ice cream will not work at all. It is just not safe to drive while hypnotized so I would wake up immediately and likely give my wife an earful.

It all comes down to the honor system. If you want out, it can be done at some price ranging from zero to the full cost of a device. Within about 50 feet I have tools ranging from simple hand tools and common security bits (some non-standard) to a dremel tool with cutoff discs and bolt cutters. I also have power tools, but you must consider the risk when working close to flesh! The bottom line is: man made it, so man can remove it. Padlocks can be picked or bypassed quite easily; their small size limits what manufacturers can build into them. Integrated locks are also simple to pick; every one I have seen uses 3 pins. Using security screws with a sealer can be tougher. If a small screwdriver fits in and gets a bite, it will come out, leaving scratch marks on the screw head as evidence. With a screw you get 10-12 turns to think about what you are doing versus a single click for freedom with a padlock. Plastic seals break too easily, either intentionally or not; I have used metal meter seals with better luck. There are groups out there studying them that have defeated almost all of them in some manner. JKD

And contrary to common belief, it *is* possible for someone to do something they wouldn't ordinarily do, *if* the suggestion is presented in the right way. Many people are so 'suggestible' that they don't even need a formal 'hypnosis session' as most imagine when you say the word; a properly presented suggestion will be acted upon without the subject realizing they have been influenced. There are techniques and methods in common practice to which vast numbers of people are subjected (currently a majority of us) that rely on the power of suggestion and repetitive conditioning. These cause those people to believe things that aren't so and contradict logical thought. This pre-conditioning results in a state of mind that renders them vulnerable to other suggestions that, when presented effectively, cause them to act contrary to their best interests.

From what I have heard, hypnosis only works if you are willing and the last dozen or so posts seemed counter to that. I will admit it was a bit arousing. Doesn't your presence on this message board indicate that you are willing? I would guess it does. "Will" is often not well defined. We often "will" two conflicting things at the same time; we often wish to eat something sweet and simultaneously wish we didn't want to. Same with smoking or exercising. With respect to chastity, most people here "will" to cum frequently while also "willing" to be unable to do so unless ordered not to, for that order not to come easily or often. Whatever theory of mind you subscribe to, I bet that at least part of you "wills" chastity enforcement, and it is possible (and quite likely) that hypnosis can help that "will to be chaste/controlled" overpower the "will to cum." My experience aligns with TwistedMister's statement. A better phrasing than "hypnosis only works if you are willing" might be "hypnosis will not work against your convictions." It requires cooperation from "you," but that "you" describes much more than just conscious thoughts. Unless you have significant experience and training with hypnosis, your perception of it is likely misinformed. I know mine was, as is true for almost everyone else I know (unless they spent time learning and practicing). One pointer in the linked thread above points to the website of a guy called ViVe; all his material is free, some is chastity related - e.g., The cost of trying is listening 3-4 times (overall about 2-3 hours total, in 40-minute sessions) when you can actually concentrate. It isn't easy for many with busy lives but is usually doable. He is a man with a German accent; if that bothers you too much, leeallure is a lady with an American accent as a second-hand recommendation, though she charges for her chastity files (she does have free ones to test).

I doubt the OP was expecting this hypnosis tangent in the thread... > member_912c625e7d wrote: Or is there a genuinely secure device, without piercing? I kind of hope so because I find the idea so erotic. Let me point out this old thread: PA-like security, without piercing

I have tried many of these files repeating them several times with no effect, so I guess I am one of those for whom this does not come easily (pun intended). But I will keep trying.

I will keep trying though. Sadly, I too have poor results. In most cases, my mind simply doesn't relax enough; it constantly analyzes the voice and statements, picks up on hesitations, bad cuts/edits, background noise, inconsistencies, etc. This is how I am nearly all the time; my 'suggestibility factor' is rather low. I know that I am not completely immune to achieving a 'trance-like' state because I have experienced it before (once while driving when I 'woke up' in the next state many miles beyond my intended destination...which was quite scary). I have had some *limited* success with a small number of files, but it required great repetition and faded after stopping. There was one called 'Shiny' supposed to develop sexual attraction/response and compulsion for women wearing spandex; I observed an effect but maintaining it took far too much time. I might get better results from a very skilled professional during in-person sessions, though that is quite unlikely.

I really can't imagine the thought process of people who do these drive-by questions. Are they from the same species as normal people? Or am I the alien?

I tried hypnotherapy for stress some years ago. It turned out I was particularly resistant and wasted a lot of money:-( More recently, I downloaded some hypno files, but they just put me to sleep with no other effect. I'm probably a bit thick-headed.

member_48d0081fbf 8 Sept 2026 #19

Since this thread took a turn, might as well go with the flow. Hypnosis is highly individualized. If recorded files aren't working for you, they probably never will. I rarely got them to work for me personally; they are also very time-consuming. Just the induction part can take 15-30 minutes. Who has that time? They often put me to sleep too with no other effect. But that is an effect and response, so there's no wrong response. DIY hypnosis with a partner or self-hyposis is probably the way forward. When I have time, I’ll see if I can create some simple routines starting for just a few minutes since most people are pressed for time. Or PM me to get me motivated. Going from zero to chastity might be too big a leap; perhaps smaller steps need taking. Don’t dwell on the “relaxed mind.” It doesn't have much to do with whether hypnosis works or not. Most of the time when I’m in a trance, I am alert, engaging, and very analytical. An active and engaging mind actually works better for me. For analytical types, hypnosis is not something done *to* you but rather an activity where the subject actively participates. The hypnotist acts like a personal trainer providing motivation/instructions while the subject does all the work.
